Yes i think your right, yekaterinburg would be better now. But i dont think we should just ignore their capital or Orenburg. Right now the two holy cities and yaroslavl are my main goals. Let us pray we can take even that with our limited force.

I think we should keep NPCs out of this one, some people (AHEM) like these rules better after experiance with the Beta, or even without that. I also have to say to Arya: Rep, SoL, levees, SP Watermills, and Biology can make Tundra acceptable in Civ4. I've done it before, and the land may not all be tundra (E18 doesn't put it like that). I think a few Screenshots of what the land is like would be nice before deciding to expand there (but I can't ask for them, Perhaps Aysee or whoever becomes Prez next can?)
I think NPC parties and votes are an awesome idea. I'm drawing up some new and some (IMO) improved rules for the realpolitik i might make some day, and those are definitely on there.
Whosit? Yes he has been a great president in the past. He has had several terms of success. But they have also had several failures. Bad precedents, among other things. I wish them luck, and hope if they get elected, they will do what they think is best for our nation.

I rallied our forces when England's future seemed darkest and drove the Roman Legions from Ravus-York to Rome's doorstep! I secured Rome's surrender and annexation, and through negotiation averted war with the Vikings! In my second term, I secured England's rightful place as leader of the world's nations, bringing us untold prosperity and security, and guided our people through Golden Age after Golden Age! Always under my rule has England flourished!
Now, representative Arya is certainly capable, and his plans are sound, if not exceptional. But doesn't England deserve the exceptional? That spark of brilliance that only few can provide? Why settle for competent when you can choose Excellence? Aww, you called me out on it. Yeah, I definitely regret that. Fortunately, I think that we've learned from it. More recent events have shown that characters who resort to such base tactics get what they deserve. And what they deserve is not what they want. I think that that "precedent" has been quashed, and since I'm certain that's what Arya was referring to, I find it kind of funny.

So, I think we should just fan out from St. Petersburg and march south. By the time this war is over, we should control all of European Russia. In the meantime, we should be building up a fleet to later invade the Arabian peninsula. Bring the war to them, so to speak.
Indeed, it was sordid for all involved. But arya, i believe, has reformed himself. His actions were not in the right, and neither was yours. However, you are still the one who set the precedent, which might have encouraged future behaviors in others..
Both other parties promise a swift war as if Arabia will be easily swept aside by our current army in no time at all. They are deluded. We could take the fight far into Russia as suggested by Arya, but we will not take all those cities and be able to hold them with the army we possess right now. We will be spread too thin trying to defend cities without sufficient and stable avenues of reinforcement.
I do not hide my caution, in fact I embrace it. I look at the two main parties donning the war paint and gearing up for a long trek into Russia fuelled by imperialist jingoism and I am horrified. To maintain our superiority we must act much more wisely, cautiously and only go to war when we are sure we can take our objectives AND hold them.
Ragnar is not a threat to be taken lightly, and yet you dismiss him as someone you can easily sway while you cut off his only avenue for expansion?
We must deal with matters closer to home. We must secure a peace with Arabia with the capture of Moscow, he knows he will not take it back. We must then unite the republic in Europe before expanding further afield. You are much too ambitious, much too reckless and out of touch with your people.
They are unhappy, they are unhealthy and all you seek to do is create more war? More unhappiness? More destruction? We must secure the lands we hold before we can hope to make significant strides abroad.
And Aysee, if your suggestion of a naval invasion of Arabia is approved by your leader, be prepared to spend the next centuries sifting through sand as our empire becomes more fragmented from the foolishness of reckless over-expansion.
The great empires of the past made the same mistakes - over expansion without preparing adequately for how they would keep it.
Secondly, this is exactly the type of imperialism I stand firmly against. We will likely face a minority government unless a party wishes to temper their plans to gain my support in a grand coalition.
Finally, empires may well be built on risk taking - but they also eventually fall because of it. We need to buck that trend by being responsible and measured instead of attacking everyone who threatens us and leaves us facing a hostile world who are united by their hatred of us.

The Co-Op & Veternari Party have disappeared. The Only people that have not voted that are publicly known and not lurkers are Darth Caeser and Lighthearter... Without the other two parties this could be in the bag for the Holy Britannia Alliance of Imperials and Warmongers.
The only other option now would be if two of the coalitions entered talks to come to a compromise to create a majority government... But there is bad blood on all sides... would such an event even be possible?

Military War vs Peace - Although we hurt Russia we have not hurt the Arabs… they will not talk to us about peace until we bloody their nose. But do we do just that? Or try to drive them all the way back to the middle east before we talk peace?

While we stared down the Norse Vikings the Arabs declared war on the Russians and Indians to claim their holy cities. They claimed the Buddhist holy city and Capitluated Russia, but India managed to force the Arabs into a Cease Fire. (Most likely through the Aposalistic Palace) The Egyptians bowed to Shaka. The Americans became Christian and the Eastern Korea and Japan went to war. Thus what shall we do this time?

@TT- It wasn't intendet to be serious, I was just presenting the arguements in a style similar to Troytheface's attacko articles, which are 'jokes disguised as strategies.' It was an attept to show that many people find attacking to be the best strategy, and In civ4 collateral damage means the person with seige initiative will generally win. After all 'the best defence is a good offense' and we should get as much as we can out of redcoats whilst their still around. After all, are'nt they the units used in the height of the british empire? I agree we can't ignore Ragnar, but pragmatism right now,to me, means taking advantage of the fact that we didn't have to DOW them, and so Curbstomping them without diplomatic repurcussions. We can handle Ragnar if he attacks us, because we can draft Churchill's Redcoats. It's the second most effeciant draft in the entire Game, and 2-4 turns mass drafting can easily raise a force strong enough to stop his attack, unless he got cannons without anybody noticing.
TT-- If we wait, what will happen is Arabia will grow huge, and thus become even BIGGER and STRONGER if we attack. Ragnar's army will have returned, and as you've said, he'll not sit on his hands while we enclose him.
If we wait, we are doomed.
If we attack now: Arabia is still trying to pacify the Russian cities. Ragnar's army is yet to return. If we attack now, there is a greater chance of succeeding.
And your right about the cities being impossible to hold. That's why we should raze them.
