Oh ive got plans for the opposition once me and my bodyguards get back!

Plus your more liberal than gandhi. Gandhi never used bodyguards. So neither can you unless yourt in office, by which its required.

Does that mean we could enact martial law and force-march all of the villagers to a new location? 'Cuz I'm down with that. :mischief:

Can martial law even be declared if we don't have an army? :confused:

Yeah. It's been interesting reading up on that, but since the course of action has already been decided, there's not much else for me to do but dig around in the archives and stir up trouble.

Just to throw something out there (as much as I respect the Opposition, I am sure that they will disagree), if things go completely south and the Russians declare war on us and bring in a war ally (Rome), I would suggest digging in, holding out until we can turn the tide, and make war gains by conquering Roman cities. This is a very rosy best-case-scenario plan, of course. We may be lucky to hold onto the continent (and as I've said, allowing those poorly placed cities to be burned might not be such a bad thing. :mischief: :devil:

LH and I discussed Martial Law,and I think you need 1 unit in each city,+1 unit per 6 points of population.either way,it's a non-option and it's in the opposition's best interest to keep it that way

Theoretically, the group in office is the one in control of England and can choose where the cities are placed. However, due to the inconvenience of having LH display all of the possible settling spots, he chose where to settle for us. Technically though, we could go into OOC mode and request a different city spot for the city.

Wait, are you seriously considering Martial Law? :eek:

I would never, ever, ever use it unless the opposition is too strong to handle.

Well right now, i guess light hearter will just feed us story. The only thing to do is really is comment on what people say and suggest.
 
someone did seriously consider Martial Law,but that was a previous term.i just remember. and it is in the oppositions best interest to convince the administration that ML is unnecessary
 
Martial Law is for massive emergencies and only a last resort.

EDIT: If I were were LH was, I might be able to convince the girl that I'm the 2nd coming of Jesus - I certainly look the part :lol:

I will discuss ML when i get back, as well as city placement. Im waiting for teh next update really.
 
So, how did negotiations with Russia turn out?

Off topic: WIM, why exactly the Darth Vader pic? Of course, if its none of my business i won't intrude...


My military plan: Two archers in each continental city, One in each british city, One axeman in each city, Several (can't think of a right ammount right now, sorry) axemen posted on the borders to act as a rapid response force against barbs. (Of course, we might not even have enough production to do this, but...)

Tech plan: Switch currency and construction on my previous plan. At the rate things are going, we're going to need catapults fast.

Foreign policy: Try to befriend Rome, Vikings, and Carthage. Even if they're going to be only temporary allies. We need all the friends we can get until we build up our military.

(This is only thoughts and input of one person, and should not be regarded as policy decisions)

Also: We need to see the city screens of every city. Make up a story about the Pres./VP/Domestic Minister touring the country if you have to. We also need to see the Relations screen, the Power graph, and the Military screen.



EDIT: We're getting close to 90 pages!!
