Remember when I said I alreadly signed you up in class? Yeah. Welcome to the brawl, and enjoy! Talk later.

Sweet! Feel free to post, and debate all you want. That goes of you too, MathNerd :p.

I want to address this first. How did coalitions form? Why, they had similar ideas, and goals. The issue that we(speaking as the opposition) was that we believed that the CoD's parties are so unique and different, that there is no way that the parties involved will reach a definite compromise, for their agendas are so vastly different. Is diddling around, and doing nothing major, national interest? Is that pragmatism. No, its the idea of fools. And are you a fool? Is your coalition, which is barely able to agree on one issue, able to lead Britain to greatness?

This comes second. Honestly my first reaciton was, "Really?" From what I understand, by the time we get to the New World the GW will be gone. Rather, let's turn to the super continent, the Mainland Europe-Asia-Africa. If CoD, bunch of fools they are, are able to launch a settling fleet to France, and chop/build/whip the GW, that would be an achievement, that glistens in the sun, for them.

And this is last. The first paragraph I can agree with, but the rest, ugh, let's start then. The second paragraph, is bull. Doubtlessly, the adviser from the party with the most votes will be the one most listened too. Will the Nationalists have their sway, and force men and women of all ages to fight dead-end wars, all for the so-called greater good of England? Will the LMP have the President's ear, or be the President, and further their own evil goals? Yikes. More balanced? No, just more corrupt, and insane. Find a compromise? A real compromise? No, just a heavily-biased one that favors the party with the President's favor at the time. Easier to please everyone? To answer that, is a corrupt, inefficient, boggled-down, weak government going to please everyone? Nope.

As for my idea, I still stand by it. The idea was that no new person could just walk in, join, and change the tide. They can still debate, and participate, just not vote. I thought I clearly conveyed that, but I guess not. We wouldn't ban them as you so elegantly said. We believe Arya came in at a bad time, changing the once 50-50 chance into nothing for the First Coalition. The voting was supposed to end that very night! And you can say you just swung votes? Changing a tie, to a victory for one party in the very last hours? Of course that makes sense. What I am proposing is designed so that new members can do everything, BUT vote, as it would throw everything into disarray.

Pfft, the Americas. No, just no. Even by galley, if it even possible, then we would be too late. I say build TGW in the Super-Continent, and leave it at that. And walls in every city helping? They just increase defensive bonus, so 0 defenders still is 0 defenders, and 5 defenders is still better than 4 most of the time. I can understand your position on Stonehenge though.

-Cull

-Leader of the Opposition

Yeah, this was all peacy and what not. Page 11, last post.

He uses his neutrality like a swing vote though (he did it in the second election, didnt get a chance since my election was a landslide). And we have been PM'ing. So dont discard any possibility, no matter how slim you think it is.

Yes this is true. However, you think you've been alone in PMing him? I have as well. And do you think the GPC would join Aegis, or CoD if given the chance?

We've been given the chance. :p

I'd have offered you a spot in our coalition, but I didn't (and don't) think you would accept it. Could I have been wrong?

Edit:

Reading his post again, I think that Cull meant this:

Yes this is true. However, you think you've been alone in PMing him? I have as well. And do you really think the GPC would join Aegis, or CoD if given the chance?

Meaning that the GPC wouldn't join either coalition, even if invited.

Yeah i doubt GPC will join either coalition. They would both go against their principles, and give the opposition too much ammo against them.

And Cull i never thought i would be alone in PM'ing him. I only think i have a better chance than Aegis/GPC.

ughhhh sorry guys RL issues and my laptop died. Had to get to the library at 10 in the morning. Is the election over? trying to comb through stuff now

Hm. My laptop died the other day, too (I get computer access at work, though, so I'm lucky). I wonder if there is a conspiracy ....?

Well, nothing to do but hold my breath as I await the Monks' actions.

I think this is an idea. We don't post here until Ravus reached a decision. That way every time a new post comes up I think its Ravus already decided.

Dammit, 50 minutes? Now there is no time for subtle hints and political manourvering. Sheesh.

11 for the Arya coalition if the Monks join. 11 for Aegis if I join them officially to counter.

Interesting, isn't it? Now the GPC will decide it assuming the Monks join up with Arya/Aysee, which I doubt, seeing as Ravus has expressed his neutrality, as well as what can you offer him? He doesn't want presidency, and probably not any position of power. He has expressed desire for his party to be the mediator.

Ah Cull i do love your new blunt outlook. It's fun. Here's my voting list, From what i can tell Lighthearter missed Civplayah's vote of solidarity for the monks.

As you can see if Arya and JMUG just voted for their ally they would have 8. But here's why i don't want to be in a coalition. Because If i'm in a coalition it means Cull will probably become the opposition leader... IF i stay as this huge neutral party then i become opposition leader. Which would you prefer fair people? *sigh* unfortunatly this is pointless because of the... now 30 minute time limit.

I have issues with all sides. CoD (Doesn't that bring back memories) because Arya seems confrontational. Aegis because Whosit is going to end up relying on Ilduce as his second and that disturbs a lot of people. Neither of the parties are... whats the word... diversified enough to be politically respectable.

So here is my comeplty dasterdly move. (And it wasn't all part of a secret plan don't believe Cull) I join the Green Philosphers and Cast my last vote for Cull's the NPP.

Yes that's right. The Election is now a draw. The GP are quite happy playing opposition in this time of war so we're not trying to win. This is just a harsh move that means the other two coalitions will have to either compromise with each other and combine or seduce Cull. Congratulation Cull. The Future of our whole election now rests in your hands. Lets see how you like it :p

Hm. My laptop died the other day, too (I get computer access at work, though, so I'm lucky). I wonder if there is a conspiracy ....?

Well, nothing to do but hold my breath as I await the Monks' actions.

Mine isn't completly dead... It turns on. then the hard drive stops spinning and doesn't boot up. So i'm just left with a light saying it's on and it's not.

PS i suppose i can ask if the election gets extended for another hour while people sort out a compromise? :p

Argh... Ravus!!

Besides, Arya isn't even going to be the leader in this coalition...

C'mon, Cull, wouldn't you rather vote for the Socialist Religious Extremists?:D We'd have a huge party (pun intended) between the religious nuts, the commies and the ninja pirates!!

This is win. Present your arguements. And let me try to get MN back on.

How much time do we have left?

Oh, god. I was basing my plans on me being opposition leader. :p

K, we'll need to pull this together fast. Any lurker voters, now would be a good time to rise!!!!

EDIT: X-Post. Gah! I meant lurker voters for OUR SIDE!!!! :p
