It might be a good idea, but then we'd get hit by an LH-spawned random event :mischief:
---

If we wanted a capital in the exact center of our land, we'll need to build the palace in Cumae, however, it's more practical in RY.
---

I agree with the whole Poland first thing, and in case of a war, we'll need to load up on the triremes. And it would be a good if we could put a fort with Longbows in Denmark for a chokepoint in the case of an amphibious assult.
---

Nice names Mech, but wouldn't Yugoslavia be more appropriate instead of Weimar Republic?

I would like to point out that converting now means we lose one happy face in most of our cities (no Buddhists in English cities), the Buddhist bloc doesn't really like us much, anyway, and we won't get any use out of any religious civics we might use (we'd have to switch to Paganism to save money).

Trying to convert Egypt and Arabia would probably be a good course of action. That way, we can surround the Norse and Russians with our allies. It's going to take time and resources, but we should be able to do it.

Well, I think Arabia's minus 5 with us...

I was originally planning that, but now I am considering settling the General in Antium. If Birmingham has Barracks + Stables and builds only Knights, the extra 2 XP will not yield another promotion. However, settling the General in Antium (assuming Caesar never put one there) means we can get 2 promotion Catapults (or macemen or what have you). Normally, I would settle GGs in the HE city, but in this instance, it would not be the best move.

Actually if you go WAY back to the start of unity when we got pictures of every city, Birmingham (our HE city) allready has one settled great general. So a second one would mean we'd have 4XP (generals) + 3XP (Barracks) +2XP (Stable) = 9XP Which with Charasmatic does mean the knights would start with 3 promotions, and thats without Feud or Theology.

What's the deal with the Carthaginian worker just wandering around Europe? xD

As you can see from the above map the Carthagians have managed to steal the southern part of the italian peninsula and also one of the mediterrainian islands.

Thus Carthage is looking more neccesary of a beatdown then Ireland...

for those talking about a future war with Vikingdom attacking Greece/Poland would only tie up the troops. The Best bet would be to find the Doom Stack with Cull. Settle a forward base next to the Viking Captial then launch a Strike on there (it's one of their few none ice cities) while keeping reseerves next to Greece and tracking the Doom stack. Once that has been dealt with (catapult power) the battle would be easier.

The only way i would consider changing to Buddism would be to have the Buddist holy city. Each city we convert to buddism is an extra gold to the Russians which we could of instead made a Christian Missionary and gotten ourselves one extra gold.

Ravus has proven himself to be very influential when it comes to religion matters...

Ravus, you remember you and your men massacred the buddhists way back when. And now you wish to convert? :shake:

he says he would consider it if we held the holy city.

If we really have to convert, we should adopt hinduism.

Well, unless LH does something funny, I wouldn't convert. We hate everybody in the Buddhist block already, so I agree, if we have to convert, I'd say Hinduism.

@ Ravus: So I see, but we also don't have open borders with Carthage, so how could that worker have just wandered all the way up into Europe? He would have had to have come all the way through Egyptian territory, and through the Balkans to be where he is.

Why do we have to have the Holy City? We can become Buddhist, spread Christianity everywhere, and then become Christian.

This makes no sense. We are only lacking christianity in 3-4 cities. it would only take a few turns to convert them before we'd change back so why even bother converting to Buddism? Especialy when you have to have a turn of revolt between each religion change.

Plus we lost ability from organised religion of +25% building production, plus the +1:)

I think we are differing in that when i want a religion i want it in every city to get the most potential out of it's use. Thus it needs to be spread. If we spread christianity we gain money by doing so. If we spread buddism RUSSIA gains money by us doing so.

@Gruekiller. The AI is dumb as mud. They will quite happily build a road all the way through egypt, past turkey, through Fred-Germany and down through Roman lands just to pasture some pigs or something.

@Mech. I was stating that the only way i would consider converting would be if we had their holy city. To worship a religion without controlling the holy city means you are funding your religious leader. That you are subservient.
