I imagine Aysee is asking for an extension because he wants to be online during during the end of the election/victory announcements. Presumably so he can take immediate action if he wins.

Why not just close the voting at normal time and just delay the announcement until the time Aysee wants? Best of both worlds?

And it seems like the secret ballot(s) may have decided the election...TBH I would be satisfied with either administration, at this point.
