RebelNES

Okay guys, since you've been waiting so patiently so long for the update, I'm going to completely re-do everything I've done and try a new updating style that should hopefully be a much more interesting read, it'll be more work, but you guys deserve it. I have no idea on the ETA as this is something completely different from how I've been updating the game in the past. Please bear with me a little bit longer, it will either be really cool or a complete bomb... only time will tell.

Since you still have the link in your Signature...BUMP!

I'm sorry, I cannot find my WIP update and I accidentally deleted people's orders... if you still have them, could you send them back? If you deleted the orders as well and don't want to re-write them that's fine, I'll just make orders for your faction myself that I think goes in line with what you've wanted to do in the past. Again, I'm sorry for this looooong delay but I'm having trouble with this update, it just doesn't seem to want to get done :P, also its hard for me to find large enough chunks of free time that I want to spend writing, as its hard for me to write little bits at a time. I do plan on getting this update done and getting back onto a regular schedule, I'm sorry its taking so long, but once I do do this update, it'll be back to the ~once a week between each update.

Okay, its been nearly a year and the update still hasn't arrived. I want y'alls opinion on whether or not I should revive this NES, and if yes, in what way it should be done. The options are:

1. Pick up exactly where we left off, though you'll all have to send orders and such.

or

2. Start up about a year down the line. The government will be significantly weaker, players who are no longer active on the forums/don't wish to play will be removed (saves me some effort), the players still with us will have more land, income, etc.

So, thoughts?

Start a year later, definitely.

Wow, It's been such a long time, but I'm glad to hear this is coming back! I'd be fine with either option personally.

Either is cool with me but I think allowing a year to pass would be best. Maybe we could send you areas (3 or four maximum) were our rebel groups focused over the year. Things like military buildup, occupying new areas, PR etc. and maybe give each faction one or two (or more) events to deal with at the start of the game. Just like Fulton is doing with Varcia for those who played that fantastic NES and are going to join the revival. Just an idea to ease us back into play and allow an unique situation to form. Of course you may have your own plans for us.

Okay, it seems general consensus is for a 1 year boring time update (though there'll have been plenty of non-boring stuff happening lol)

Next question, if I revive (which is looking very likely now that people are still interested) would you guys be okay with keeping it in this thread or would you prefer a new thread?

Go ahead and send me BT orders so I can set the stage for the revival.

THIS THREAD

:D

How do we send BT orders.. what are out stats?

Basically, for BT orders, just send guidelines for what you wish to accomplish during this year. Can be as general or specific as you like, but a list of goals you want (how much land you want to take, how many troops you wish to raise, propaganda efforts, etc.) and I'll write an update based on that and then change everyone's stats to bring them up to date.

If you could get these orders in by Thursday that would be best for me so I could use the weekend to write the update and hopefully get it up by Sunday.

Structures:
Government:Authoritarian, CEO leads.

Ask government for monetary aid to help stabilize the area for the company. Use mercs to actually make the area suitable for coffee growing.

Year later! Go FARC!

Faction: The Peoples Republic of Nueva Leon
Leader: Capitán Calisto De Vivero/TaylorFlame
Class: Ex-General
Credits: 0
Army: 150 Farmers, 125 Paramilitary, 6 APCs, 1 Light Tank
Navy: none
Air Force: none
Structures: 1 camp
Government: Socialist Democracy
Base: East of Punta Gorda

Attempt to win the siege of Punta Gorda. Recruit as many soldiers as possible, the preferred level being Paramilitary. Conduct a massive propaganda campaign in the South West of the nation. Expand, absorbing the other rebellions in the area if they are leaderless. Use the harsh terrain and lack of infrastructure in the region to prevent the government troops entering the area. Have Calisto make personal appearances to various groups of people in an attempt to recruit them to the cause. Sell crops to areas running low on food at low prices. Utilise the help of the foreign benefactor which shall remain nameless as much as possible, complying with their requests when it is sane to do so.
