Actions
130 Paramilitary will continue to use the the 10 trucks to search for drug fields in the center of the nation. If any are found they will try to convince the workers there to join Andri's cause. To try to convince them they will speak about how their lives will be much better under Andri's service, and about how they will receive better pay and have higher living standards. If, after this, they don't want to join the cause they will be asked to leave peacefully so that the paramilitary can take control of the fields. If they refuse to leave they will be threatened. If they still refuse, and if the paramilitary think they can take them, the 130 paramilitary will take the fields through force. Violence will be a last resort; the ideal situation will be that the workers join my faction.

The 50 farmers will begin growing cash crops that will then be sold. 10 Paramilitary will protect them from any hostiles. The Fishing boat will continue to catch fish and sell them in foreign nations.

Miguel Andri himself will head into the poorest districts of New Santiago, with 10 paramilitary to guard him. He will try to convince the poor folks to join him, using promises for better pay and living standards to help persuade them. He will also appeal to their nationalistic feelings by speaking of how, when he becomes the leader of Nueva Leon, he will make the country the strongest in the region, and of how everyone will prosper under his rule. He will try to visit as many of the poor people as he can without alerting the local militia. If there is any trouble, Miguel will hide in the forests/jungle outside of the city.

Splash credits around the poor (1000c), promise lower taxation, and "deal" with the local tax collectors, ie. by bullet, bribe or by having them defect. Install my own tax collectors, in the towns and villages further out. Also take over the Churches, for tithe revenue, and persuade the local Priests to speak favourably about the regime. The occasional dose of popularism is also advised, with a preference for the forming of popular militias from the faithful to enforce my rule in the chosen regions (1500c on farmers). Bribe what troops are nearby to turn a blind eye to my activities, they can't be getting much in the way of pay atm (1000c).

Raise revenue through donations, subversion of the existing tax structure (lower taxes to ensure people benefit), and take over the tithe revenue of the local Church structure. Have the farmers do what they do best farm and invest in farming equipment and infrastructure (1500c).

My math=fail :p (those were typed on the fly ;))

The Trucks, 5 Militia and 5 Farmers Each, will scout around to convert other villages to Join.

50 Militia each will ambush government convoys in the roads but will protect trade from bandits.

Spoiler Orders :

Local Affairs:

1. Spend 300 credits on the poor, mainly by helping to buy better farming equipment and helping with basic healthcare.
2. Spend 100 credits on propaganda campaigns on how our faction will bring better government and better life, including a promise for fair elections every four years.
3. Have the farmers sell some of their unneeded crops, to raise more funding.
4. Have all militia guard farmers to ensure proper safety.
5. Have 100 paramilitaries guard the politician residence.
6. Have the other 100 paramilitaries guard the eastern road, but DO NOT fire on government troops, nor surrender. If they fire, we must return fire.

National Affairs:

1. Have a meeting with the government, for democratic reform. If negotiations break down, say we shall not cause trouble and help restore order around Bonita. (We'll help restore order all right, but not to their government) ;)

2. We shall send an envoy to gather up support to the south of Bonita, especially in villages and in farm areas.

Foreign Affairs:

1. Ask for democratic support for our faction, and state that if we gain control and restore peace, we will reward the helping countries.

Balls... I forgot orders....

Propagandise the city, use that speech that I wrote earlier. Take up a collection from all the people who support me. Sell the produce that my farmer-army has created. Just all around gain income.

We fight for God and a greater country. You campain for democracy and a greater country. We are nearby and our goals are similar so we propose that we combine forces. All we ask is that if you gain power you premote religion. What do you say to this?

Fihlos de Christo Gains More Followers. Victoria, Nueva Leon. Father Juan Gonzales, continuing his preaching in and around the city of Victoria, has started to amass quite a following. Not only are the country folk flocking to him, but now the people within the city itself are starting to turn in favor of the priest. He was even allowed to have a meeting with the mayor of the town to discuss his ideas, from which the Mayor seemed quite impressed by what he had to say.

Fighting Erupts Around Estacado. Estacado, Nueva Leon. During the past month, a small scale assault was fought in the areas around the town of Estacado. Forces loyal to General Harick attacked the fields owned by Farm Fresh Inc. A few private defense contractors were killed during the fighting, the fields were burned, and workers working the fields were either shot or escaped. It is unknown why the General has turned his sights on the mostly peaceful company, but he is quickly earning quite a bad reputation among the citizens in and around Estacado. Harick's men did take a few casualties themselves, and because of the outcry against his aggressive and indiscriminate ways he goes about attacking people, the government has promised to help hunt down the madman and bring him to justice.
Casualty List:
-The Dark Hand: -10 Mercenaries
-Farm Fresh Inc.: -20 Mercenaries

Rebels Continue to Raid Bonita. Bonita, Nueva Leon. After last month's naval raid on the city of Bonita, a long pause in violence followed, tricking the government troops into letting their guard down. However, halfway through March, raids from the jungle have now started up, and have continued throughout the month. Though for the most part the fighting hasn't resulting in many casualties, one particular daring raid on the night of the 18th caused the death of ten government troops, five rebel soldiers, and the capture of a truck from the motor pool.

Freighter Crew Bodies Wash Up Near Bonita. Bonita, Nueva Leon. Three crew member bodies of the Haitian transport freighter, the Maria Spirit, washed up on the beaches around Bonita during this past month. They had already begun to decay, as sea life had started to eat away at their corpses, but there was still enough left of one of the bodies to tell that the man had died of gunshot wounds. The bodies of the rest of the crew, and the location of the ship itself, is as yet unknown.

Violence Declines Around Valdez. Valdez, Nueva Leon. At the beginning of the month, it seemed the fighting in and around Valdez was only going to get worse, and for a while there, it did. Sniping of military and civil officers began around the city, but the snipers weren't caught. During the first week of the month, however, a daring raid, using the helicopter the FARC own, was conducted and the mayor of town was abducted. It was all done at night, and there were no casualties on either side, though a brief firefight did occur as the FARC soldiers were escaping with their hostage. The mayor was ransomed and released three days later. Finally, as if that wasn't enough, the FARC also ambushed a convoy of government soldiers moving in to reinforce the garrison troops in the city to try and hunt down the rebels in the area. The lighting fast attack left many government soldiers dead before they knew what happened, destroyed some military hardware, and three trucks were stolen. However, the FARC did suffer some casualties as well, as two APCs and a tank in the convoy killed some rebels before they were able to escape. After the ambush, however, the rebels have ceased their attacks on the city. The government has used the lull in the fighting to send even more soldiers to Valdez, and have begun conducting patrols into the countryside around the city.
Casualty List:
-FARC: -20 Militia
-Nueva Leon: -40 Paramilitary, -5 Trucks

Socialism Spreads Throughout Punta Gorda. Punta Gorda, Nueva Leon. Socialism seems to be on a rise around the city of Punta Gorda. Leaflets and broadcasts relating socialist ideas to the people in and around Punta Gorda have begun to turn many a poor peasant to the idea of socialist democracy. Backed by the group calling themselves The People's Republic of Nueva Leon, propaganda and the publics anger towards the massacre of demonstrators last month has led to much public support for this new organization, who was even able to get their flag mounted on top of the mayor's building, much to the embarrassment of the local military garrison.

Government Bullies Businesses? Isabella, Nueva Leon. Businesses around the city of Isabella have now come under harassment by Leonian Army soldiers. With El Movimiento de Libertad de Isla stopping their attacks on shops this month, it seemed strange to many that the government had begun picking on the same shop owners, as well as other merchants around town. It didn't take long for the garrison to tell the city that they were not behind the attacks, which have ended in the death of a couple civillians and shop employees, and that it must be El Movimiento de Libertad de Isla disguised as government troops. The garrison is now starting to patrol around the city to look for the disguised soldiers and capture them, though they have not yet been successful.

Coalition for Rational Government Wiped Out. Corte Madera, Nueva Leon. The Coalition for Rational Government, after its major defeat against the Corte Madera garrison, was wiped out early this month by a new rebel faction, calling itself La República Maoísta de Nueva Leon. After catching wind of the CRG, they staged a night time attack on their headquarters, quickly killing the few remaining troops, and capturing their leader, whom they “convinced” to get his supporters to follow the RMNL. The followers quickly switched their allegiance at the request of their leader, and have opened up to the RMNL and their philosophies. Cortez hasn't been seen or heard from since his announcement.

Commie Attack!
Valdez, Nueva Leon. Communist forces under command of Ellias Elbardo have launched an attack on the government forces, but also against Father Diego Hernado Diaz de Leon, the evil satanic priest, and his followers. Only a few firefights broke out against the government, without anyone getting hurt. However, their campaign against Paz y Democracia hasn't turned out as well as they had hoped. While their tanks were useful along the roads, for the most part, fighting in the jungle, the tanks proved useless, and so it was up to the farmers under his command to combat the trained military forces under Leon's. While the losses weren't as bad as they could have been, mostly because the farmers fled shortly after the bullets started flying, the casualties inflicted upon the enemy weren't all that spectacular, eitherl.
Casualty List:
-NLWP: -25 Farmers
-Paz y Democracia: -10 Paramilitary

Skirmishes Around Punta Gorda. Punta Gorda, Nueva Leon. Small skirmishes around the city of Punta Gorda have been going on this past month. Nothing very large scale, however, but just small ambushes of government patrols in and around the villages around Punta Gorda. A few government soldiers have been killed, but no bodies of the attackers have been found, so officials assume either the rebels attacking the patrols all survived, or they escaped with their dead.
Casualty List:
-Nueva Leon: -5 Paramilitary

Government Strikes Deal With NLUS. Bonita, Nueva Leon. The government has struck a deal with the Nueva Leon Union State. The NLUS, centered around the city of Bonita, has offered to aid the government in stabilizing the city and the area around the city. Much to the pleasure of General Archuleta, they have begun such a task. They have also been granted the right to bear arms in town and have been given a headquarters building in town for them to base themselves out of, while they plan how to track down the rebels who have been raiding the city.
