what gets me is why the monsters didn't kill landlubber
Woah, wait, what?
It's funny... BSmith did fix me. And I did protect choxorn. And I do believe that Jarrema is an SK (if he isn't, his role is horribly unbalancing in the town's favour).
You really should have caught me ages ago, though. Zack's scan, anyone?![]()
You know, for the reasons I set out in the QT, you should still lynch Jarrema today even though I'm scum. Double A can take care of me tonight.
I wonder how this might have been different if landlubber had remembered to send in his order to track me the night I protected choxy...

You are a mason pair, you are both town. You win when all threats to the town are eliminated.
Skutters, also sometimes referred to as the service droids, are small, motorised, claw-headed maintenance robots in the Red Dwarf franchise. They were commonly used to maintain off-world colonies and were used in Space Corps spaceships. There are at least two of these whirring, squeaky robots seen in service on-board the Jupiter Mining Corporation vessel Red Dwarf in the television series, although there are said to be many more. Thousands are said to be on-board Red Dwarf in the Red Dwarf Novels, with Rimmer accidentally crushing fifty of them at once in Better Than Life.

You are a town Hider. You can hide behind someone each night. Any abilities directed at the Hider go to the person they hide behind. If the person the Hider hides behind is killed, the Hider dies too. If the Hider hides behind a mafiat, the Hider dies anyway.
You also have the sexual magnetism and charisma viruses. You can choose to use one of these instead of your night action. (The effect is unknown to you, but you can guess.)
Arnold Judas Rimmer, BSc., SSc. (Bronze Swimming Certificate and Silver Swimming Certificate) was once Second Technician aboard the JMC mining ship Red Dwarf. Three million years after his death, Rimmer was brought back as a hologram of himself, and Rimmer's hologram is currently the senior officer of Red Dwarf over a crew of 4.
Neurotic, charmless, cowardly, petty, career-minded yet underachieving, Rimmer was once in charge of Z Shift and over only one other crewmember, Third Technician Dave Lister; everybody else had requested relocation to avoid Rimmer. Rimmer and Lister were begrudging bunkmates and together the pair made up the lowest ranking members on the ship. Rimmer was responsible, through his own ineptitude, for the radiation leak that turned himself and the rest of the 1,169 crew to dust, except for Lister who was in stasis at the time and would remain so for three million years. When Lister came out of stasis to find he is the last human being alive, the computer Holly brought Rimmer back as a soft light hologram to keep Lister sane, despite the fact the pair hated each other.

Captain Frank Hollister is a commanding officer in the Space Corps, and was the captain of the JMC interplanetary mining vessel Red Dwarf during its ill-fated final voyage. Hollister lost his life along with the rest of the 1,169 crew (except David Lister, who Hollister had ordered to be put in stasis at the time) when Hollister sent the inept Arnold Rimmer to to a critical job. This resulted in a radiation leak that turned the crew to dust.
Visorslash said:Legato Endless you are Talkie Toaster.

You are a town Backup. You will automatically take the power of the first town role that has died.
Talkie Toaster, The Toaster or simply TT, is a minor recurring character in the Red Dwarf novels and television series.
Manufactured by a Taiwanese company named Crapola Inc., Talkie Toaster was an annoying, monomaniacal, artificially-intelligent electric bread toaster purchased by Dave Lister whilst on planet-leave at a second-hand junk shop on Miranda, along with a robot goldfish and a smuggled pet cat.
Despite being more intelligent than the Red Dwarf computer Holly, the novelty kitchen appliance was, on top of being defective, only designed to provide light conversation at breakfast time, and as such it was totally single-minded and tried to steer every conversation to the subject of toast.

You are a town conditional JOAT. If someone visits you with a power, you will gain that power.
Legion was created by some of the greatest minds in history, for example Heidegger, Davro, Quayle and Holder. They were experimenting in collective intelligence when Legion was created as the product of that research. When composed of those great minds, Legion was one of the most intelligent sentient beings in the universe (supposedly). The facility when seen in the episode is littered with pieces of art, which according to Kryten's connoisseur chip, fulfilled all 10 requirements for being masterpieces. Also, he was quite the engineer, indicated by the hard light drive that gave Rimmer a physical form and a star drive that he gave to the Dwarfers, although whether the malfunction that occurred when they set it off was caused by Legion himself or just by a mistake made by the Dwarfers is unknown (most likely the latter as it worked, but due to a bad connection to the existing engines, it didn't take them with it). However, after a while, nature took its course and Legion confirmed that the scientists never left; they just died of old age.

Kryten, B.S. (Bachelor of Sanitation) is a Series 4000 mechanoid or 'slave 'noid' — a robotic, plastic servant — and is quite neurotic. He is very humanoid, with the exception of the flat cubic planes visible on his face and head. His brain is synthetic yet also partly organic, based on that of John Warburton.
Once the personal servant of three female crew members of the Nova 5, he is now reduced to serving the slobbish Dave Lister, the only surviving human crew member on Red Dwarf. He was also on the SS Augustus before the Nova 5, but the crew died of old age. Kryten also believes in Silicon Heaven, the electronic afterlife.

She had been under the effects of a concussion at the time due to being hit on the head with a winch, and as a result had some problems thinking and thus kept calling Rimmer by the name of "Norman". This has led to great teasing towards Rimmer about it from Dave Lister. ("Confidence and Paranoia")

Cuthillius is the Simulant Lietuenant.

You are a mugger. If chosen to do the nightkill you will gain the ability of the dead player.
The Simulant Lieutenant was a homicidal crewmember aboard a simulant battle cruiser.
She appeared to be a tall and imposing human woman, except for a deep and husky voice and two sets of eyebrows.
When Starbug wandered into a rogue simulant hunting area, they were intercepted by a heavily armed warship. The captain gave his orders to a lieutenant, who relayed information back to him. After the captain incapacitated the Starbug crew, he ordered his crew to upgrade Starbug so that they could provide a challenge. This was a huge mistake, because The Cat suggested a frontal attack which all but destroyed the cruiser. The lieutenant hacked into Starbug's navicomp and transferred the Armageddon Virus in retaliation. Starbug then left the cruiser for dead... (RD: Gunmen of the Apocalypse)
Spaceman98 is Katerina Bartikovsky
![]()
You are a godfather. Immune to scans.
In a hallucination induced by the ink of a despair squid, the crew encounter Katerina Bartokovsky. In this hallucination, Katerina was the science officer of the Red Dwarf before the accident. She is of Russian heritage and speaks with a strong accent. Her personality is strict, serious, and judgmental, with a certain amount of scientific genius and arrogance. She suddenly appears as a hard-light hologram in "Back to Earth, Part One" after Rimmer's negligence nearly results in the death of his crew mates. She uses her superior rank to make herself ship's hologram and tries to have Rimmer deactivated and destroyed; it is also evident that she has personal disdain for him. Meanwhile, she attempts to bring Lister home with a device she made with a mining laser and the DNA of a dimension hopping squid (the hallucination's explanation for the despair squid), which the rest of the crew enter through to get back to Earth, which allows Rimmer to escape deletion. She later encounters Rimmer in a street on Earth, claiming to have gone through a second portal, where they discuss the morals of deleting holograms. Katerina argues that since holograms are simulated dead humans, then killing them is fine. Using this logic, Rimmer pushes her into traffic, whisking her away.
Sprig is Hudzen-10
![]()
You are a Ninja/Strongman. You can choose to not be tracked/watched or go through protections if you are the nightkiller.
Hudzen-10 was a model of service mechanoid created and supplied by DivaDroid International. An individual of this model type was dispatched to replace Kryten 2X4B-523P aboard the Nova 5, but went dangerously insane during the millions of years he spent tracking Kryten, alone in his Diva-Droid Shuttle.
Luizeu is the Unspeakable One.
![]()
You are a roleblocker, you may choose a target each night and they will be unable to perform any action.
The "Unspeakable One" or the Self-Loathing Beast (also jokingly called Rimmer's Lust Monster in reference to another entirely different context) is the physical manifestation of Arnold Rimmer's self loathing, given physical form by Rimmer's presence on the Psi Moon in the Series V episode "Terrorform".
He had Rimmer captured (who as a side-effect of the Psi Moon had a physical form while he was there) by his Hooded Hoards for the sole purpose of torturing him, part of which involved electricity (which is why the Handmaidens had Rimmer oiled, to increased his conductivity), until he lost all hope. The beast seemed resistant to bazookoid fire, but he was weak against words that appealed to what positive traits Rimmer had left, such as when Lister and Kryten told Rimmer that they wouldn't desert him. The creature also referred to Rimmer as "The Despicable One" at one point.

Winston Hughes you are a Polymorph.
![]()
You are an Ability Stealer/Modifier. Each night you may choose a player and they will be drained of negative emotion and you will gain a power. You can gain multiple abilities.
A polymorph is a shape-shifting organism that can change into anything it pleases, and lives by draining a person of a negative emotion. It was designed to be the perfect warrior, blending into any background, causing confusion and disarray amongst the enemy by playing with their emotions, but the creature mutated into something terrifying its creators couldn't control. One of the polymorph's forms appears somewhat similar to the xenomorph alien from the movie Alien.
The Polymorph in the episode Polymorph also apeared to have some form of sentience. Examples appear in the start of the episode where it speaks when excusing itself after a large burp. It also showed disgust at the sight of its own reflection and went through a number of shapes before settling on a fluffy white rabbit. Only then did it decide on a basketball because it had better mobility.
Autolycus you are a Psiren.
![]()
You are a godfather. You are immune to scans.
sirens are a form of GELF which thrive on the brains of humans, often by sucking them out though a kind of metal straw.
Psirens are masters of illusion in catching their prey, and can telepathically get into the minds of humans and alter their perception. This is their modus operandi in order to draw in astros, get their guard down, suck out their brains and take anything else they can use.
Psirens inhabit and swarm an asteroid belt which has become a spaceship graveyard due to the Psirens luring astros down onto the rocks.
In their natural form, Psirens are insectoids standing at around two metres high and look something like giant beetles, with giant bulbous eyes and a large carapace.
They can't hide their true forms from electronic devices, only the perception of it from anyone seeing it (providing that they are in range of their abilities). They are also territorial and are willing to kill each other to feed on their victim's brains.
Internet Flea you are an Emohawk.
![]()
You are an emotion drainer. You transform people into different roles and will gain a power.
Emohawks are a form of polymorph whose natural form is something similar to a large bird or hawk. Like all polymorphs, the Emohawk is an emotional leech - it steals emotions from other living creatures. Its name is a portmanteau of "emotion" and "hawk."
Emohawks are domesticated variants of polymorph's that are spayed at birth, raised by the Kinitawowi and trained to do their bidding. Emotions drained by the Emohawks are a highly valued trading commodity amongst the Kinitawowi.
The Emohawk seems to be able to drain specific aspects of an individual's personality as well as mere emotions, and causes its victims to undergo physical changes in addition to mental ones; it drains Arnold Rimmer of his bitterness and Cat of his cool, turning them into Ace Rimmer and Duane Dibbley.
Pouter Pigeon you are a Despair Squid.
![]()
You are a Hallucinator. You may target a player each night and their target will be randomised.
Despair Squids are one of the creatures created through a terraforming and sped-up evolution effort by the crew of the SSS Esperanto on an ocean moon in Deep Space.
Although the terraforming results were off the predicted charts, filling the ocean moon with lifeforms, the Despair Squids developed a unique hunting ability - their ink would induce absolute hope (in the case of the females) or absolute despair (in the case of the males) in their prey, taking away both the flight and fight instincts of their prey and the Despair Squids quickly became top of the food chain due to this trait.
In the end the Squids were too great a predator and even killed the Esperanto crew, causing them to commit suicide, and also simultaneously destroying most of the terraformed ocean planet's life, to the point that even fish killed themselves by voluntarily closing their gills.
Visorslash said:Jarrema you are the Inquisitor.
![]()
You are an independent. Your goal is to eliminate all those who are not worthy.
You are a conditional vigilante. You may target a player each night and they will be invited to a quicktopic that you have access to. There they will be forced to plead for their lives. You may decide to let them live or die at by the end of the day phase (or anywhere before that). You win if you survive to the end of the game. People you have judged worthy's votes do not count against you nor can they take a negative action against you.
Little is known about The Inquisitor's origins, other than horror tales, urban legends and astro campfire tales. As far as is known, he was a self-repairing rogue Simulant, who had survived until the end of time itself, coming the conclusion there was no God. This then led him to the belief that life is all that there is, and that the point of existence is for each individual to make their life as fulfilling as possible. He creates the Time Gauntlet and then travels time, visiting each individual in turn. Each is judged, and those found to be unworthy are erased from the time-space continuum, and their existence replaced by another who never had the chance of life. One of his known victims was Thomas Allman.
To this end, the Inquisitor was apparently able to access the psyches of his 'victims' so that they were judged by themselves to determine whether they were worthy of life, thus ensuring that those he visited received a fair hearing.
This trip around the universe continued until he reached the Red Dwarf crew, judging Lister, Rimmer, the Cat and Kryten, concluding from their own analysis of themselves that Lister and Kryten deserved erasure; by the Cat and Rimmer's low standards and self-centredness, they couldn't possibly have done better, but Lister and Kryten could have been so much more. Fortunately, the two were rescued by the sacrifice of a future version of Kryten who sent himself back in time to save them, allowing Lister and Kryten to ally themselves with Rimmer, Cat, and their two alternates. Although the rest of the crew were killed, in the subsequent fight Lister was able to take the Inquisitor's time-manipulating gauntlet, which he used to temporarily freeze the Inquisitor while Kryten reprogrammed the gauntlet before sending himself back in time. As a result, when the Inquisitor attempted to erase Lister, the gauntlet backfired and destroyed the Inquisitor himself, erasing the deaths of the crew and every other action he had ever committed from history.(RD:The Inquisitor)
Visorslash said:Majiffy you are Holly.
![]()
You are a town tracker. Each night you may follow someone and see who they visit.
Holly was the name given to a sentient, "10th-generation" artificial intelligence which was installed aboard the Jupiter Mining Corporation mining ship Red Dwarf.
Portrayed by Norman Lovett (male incarnation) and Hattie Hayridge (female incarnation), Holly was one of the original Boys from the Dwarf in Series I to Series V, briefly in Series VII, and in Series VIII.
The computer ran Red Dwarf for the three million years after the radiation leak which killed the crew and the ship wandered the Galaxy unmanned, except for the cats evolving on-board. Holly, having gone half-crazed by the aeons of solitude, later brought Dave Lister out of stasis and resurrected Arnold Rimmer as a hologram.
Holly's "Supervision Field" could watch over most of the ship, but didn't extend to some of the cargo bay areas, such as Supply Pipe 28. Holly could however go mobile in the form of a mobile monitor, or be downloaded into a special wrist-watch.
