Requests for new components (and features)

What about in the context menu for the tile?

Yes, that's where it will show up. I was asking for suggestions on how to display it so it didn't add a line. Which existing line makes sense to have the latitude?

Hills/Forest/Grassland, 35.2°N, 1:food:, 2:hammers:
 
Since latitude only affects the placement of your space elevator city, only display it when a settler is selected?

Mods, my Friend, Mods. Unaltered BTS may only use it for the Space Elevator, but I have several buildings made for only the polar regions.

Plus, what if I want to plan ahead, and need to know exactly where the 59.99 and 60 latitude jumps...
 
Guys, Thank You. I'm playing the latest version of LoR and whatever version of BUG/BULL/Whatever it has, the stopping of chopping the last turn is absolutely brilliant and the best thing to happen to Civ since Cathy swung a slap. :goodjob:

Then select a settler. It takes a while to center the map, you have plenty of time to build one.
 
Perhaps it could appear with settler's selected, OR, if players hold the control key, or something like that.
 
I know that BAT 2.0 includes a portion of Varietas, but are there any plans to incorporate the addition of some of VD's extra Civ packs, and the Modern Era Enhancement support?

I enjoy both of those features about VD, and they really make the mod my favorite. I love BAT just as much, but it's getting be a bummer flipping a coin every time I start a new game, just to see what mod I'll use. :)

Just a suggestion. (And a big hug and a thank you for the BUG boys, while I'm at it.)
 
I expect you can install those VD extras into BAT the same way you'd install them into VD itself. Keep in mind that the VD in BAT is a little out of date. Maybe you can copy the VD files over those in BAT?

Try this:

  1. Copy the entire BAT directory to "BAT Mod Plus VD"
  2. Copy all the files in VD/Assets to the Assets folder in this new BAT
Do it in a copy in case this doesn't work. Now rename the old BAT to "BAT Old" and rename the new BAT to the old BAT's name ("BAT Mod 2.0"?). Open a saved game. Crash? If so, undo the renames and delete the new BAT folder. If not, give a new game a try.
 
Finally! All Rise of Mankind and its modmods are settled down enough fo rme to play a game long enough for me to appreciate your awesome BUG and BULL!

Absolutely love "Actual" feature and info about potential buildings with their effects in mouse-overs!

Now to my requests:

1. Please make the mouse-over for Defense as well. I want to see what buildings can add to Defense percentage. The reason: we already have mouse-overs for Health, Happiness, Culture, Commerce, Research, and Espionage. so why not Defense as well! :)

2. This is not that urgent but here goes: I want Autoplay that doesn't touch my units or cities, but only run till a turn finally requires action from me. I hate to hit Enter over and over as I wait for me to act on whatever needs to be acted on. I want the special type of Autoplay that will automatically stop when anything requires my attention.

The second request may be harder to create, much less be UG, but would be very much appreciated.

Again thanks for the new awesome BUG/BULL that is better than ever!

For example if your city has 20% culture, hovering over Walls would show +30% defense? This is doable. Are there any other things missing from Actual Effects?

If all it does is end your turn if you don't have any new decisions to make, I don't think it would be anti-UG. However, if would take a lot of work I think. jdog5000 would be the one to ask about this, but I think any place where a human decision is ever made would need to cancel out of this autoplay mode. That would be a lot of changes.

No I meant Defense as its own infobar or whatever you call Health, Happiness, etc thingies. You know the thingies on either side of bars in city-screen? I put mouse over them and bingo, I get all info I need. I want the same for Defense added. So, basically, I'm requesting that you ADD new thingy (using "thingy" word until I get a correct term for it :)) for Defense. Maybe between Gold and Maintenance thingies?

I can just hit Enter repeatedly. Honestly, it only happens in early eras. It is only in later eras when all action happens :).

Screen real estate is at a premium on the city screen, and I don't really see what value that would add. If that's not what you mean, please try to give a visual representation as "thingy" just ain't doin' it for me. ;)

Yes, that. But why show culture? It is already shown in the bottom left of city screen. Replace "Culture" with "Defense" and bingo you get my request, yes.
 
Huh, and I was thinking its main virtue would be in the end game when going for a cultural victory.

One problem with that is if you are in war with AIs. It will continually interfere with that special AutoPlay because it will continually require your action.
 
One more request:

This is more of a personal one, so if you just PM me a minimod, that would be just as great. This is for my low vision help.

I want a pop-up for Alerts. Specifically, I'm only interested in just one alert from BUG list: Growth of a city. I want a pop-up to tell me when my city grows. Help me to hit "No growth allowed" button if I'm in danger of having unhappy citizen if necessary. The messages on top of screen below Great People and Great General are small and that message for growth is a bit dark and I have some type of color-blindness. So a pop-up for that specific message will help a lot.

Again if you just send me a minimod I can install ot my game instead of putting it into future BUG, it would be great!

oz79, there are already 2 alerts like you want. One will tell you 1 turn BEFORE the city grows unhealthy/unhappy, and another alert after any city grows.

I assume this is what you are looking for?

Edit: Oh wait, I see you want a pop-up. Would you want this popup to give you the options to turn off city growth from the popup, examine city, or ignore?
 
For some time I've wanted to expand the alerts so that you can have a popup option with specific actions to take based on the type of alert. However, I'm only willing to do this work if I can figure out how to make it so the popups will honor the Minimize Popups BTS setting--i.e. wait as an icon on the right side of the screen until you've moved all your units.

I tried for a while with no luck, but now that I've done more SDK work I'll poke around there and see if I can get it to work. If anyone has made popups minimize, please show me how!
 
I only want a pop-up alert. No action needed. In order words, have the identical function as messages below the Tch and Great People bars, but as a pop-up so it is easier to see. I want to make them optional to WHAT alerts I want to pop-up when they happen, similar to checkboxing alerts in BUG Options tab.

EDIT: However, you can go ahead and add other functions on top of what I requested if you want. I only request that specific pop-up message alert for Growth because it is hard to see the message on-screen.
