The armies in Lima and La Paz were dwindling. Efforts put through by the government of the USA was very much working. Propoganda leaflets were being dropped from aircraft into the cities, to decrease the moral among the invadors. It was working. Their numbers had decreased by nearly half.
Tanks rolled into the city under the command of General Ekeil, with air cover and support. These things the invadors lacked, and so stood no chance of defending the cities.
President Vasques ordered the Communist Rebels to be killed on spot, or if they surrendered they were to be jailed in the prisons in Haita. The brief "almost" civil war had ended, thanks to the geniouses behind some propaganda.
Only a couple hundred Incan soldiers were killed in the assault against the communists.
Now President Vasques turned his gaze to the frenzy in Europe. Many United States allies would most likely be involved in a war, if it came to that. Portugal, a pre-colony of the Andes Confederation, and great friend to the United States were being blamed for an attack on French generals in Italy. Another friend of the US was the UK, whome also backed Portugal.
However, being a new friend of the Anarcian France, the US felt split amongst its friends.
Plus, there was the strong urge from the conservative Congress to keep the US out of this oncoming world war. The President, though, insisted in the attempts to be made for peace.
To European Powers
From The USA
I must emphasize the horrors of war to our friends in Europe. Germany already knows the atrocities which arise from trench warfare, as well as France. However, Portugal and the British have yet to learn front hand the terrors of fighting in our modern age. What a waste war is, a waste of generations of young men, of fathers and husbands, of resources that could have been used for research to uncruable deseases such as influenza and cancer. How wasteful it is for millions of young men to be killed over a few generals who were murdered.
I can tell you, this whole fiasco was a plot to bring Europe and it's allies into war. I emplore you, do not let them take you for fools.
Signed,
President Migues Vasques of the United States
