Of course New England has a right to our territories of Alaska, they were legally liberated by the Consuls of old, and absorbed into the Confederacy.
They remained members of the Confederacy for centuries, and then they were illegally seized by the UNI.
While we have no plans to go to war with the UNI over these territories, and never did, it does not mean we have to be on friendly terms with them
They hold territory which is rightfully Sovereign territory of New England, and for the largest part of history was part of New England.
We have much more pressing plans to deal with than the liberation of minor, yet somewhat important, at least to New England, territories; such as tearing down the destructive and terrible regime which the international community as a whole, and especially the UNI, allowed to take hold within our country.
Not only that the international community, and the UNI in particular, allowed that regime to endure, and indeed supported it on many occassions, allowed it surpress and murder its people.
These acts will not be forgotten for a long time, nor will they very easily be forgiven.

Disease spreads into Europe via France. A NEC agent was caught purposely spreading the disease but it was too late to stop it. The disease is spreading through Europe more violently and quickly than it ever did in America (see Mendel's below explanation of this). France and Portugal have been infected by the disease inflicting heavy casulties upon the civilian population as well as a large part of the nations' navies and air forces. Some small cases of the virus are appearing in Germany and the United Kingdom, causing economic panic as well as mass migrations whenever a case of disease breaks out in attempts to flee from the plague. (loss of 1 army size for portugal and 1 navy and 1 air force size for both France and Portugal. 1 economy level lost for both Germany and the UK)
As most people who are vulnerable to the plague in North America have already died, the disease has died out in Iriquoisland, the NEC, and Aztecea, taking some final people to the grave with it. The plague still rages through the USA and the USSR, although it is beginning to die out in the northern provinces. (1 size loss for all North American Military forces, two lost for both South American nations)
The plague has occasionally shown itself in south Africa although the local governments are containing it by killing people as soon as they develop the first signs. This has caused decline in the economy of the South African nations. Also, some signs of the disease are appearing along the Egyptian borders, causing mass panic among local populations.
Northern North America has fallen into being a no-mans land. As chaos reigns from the disease and a lack of government becomes rampant, the northern territories no longer recognize either the NEC or Iriquois government as local gang leaders fight amongst themselves for what remains. (no new nation has been formed the white is like the white in the beginning as unsettled territory, except now you will have to fight for it) A similar thing has occured in Aztec and French Africa as the disease rages more quickly there than anywhere else becuase of worse conditions although some coastal areas still pledge allegience to France or Aztecea. Eithiopia and Congo have used military forces to expand their borders north into the no-mans land to gain more territory. American colonies have also become no-mans lands as the motherlands have been ushered into choas.
One of the few surviving scientists at the Plague Research Lab in Cuzco, Gregor Mendel, has developed a theory of the workings of the virus being termed as the BN1 virus (

From studies of the rate of deaths in Europeon and Asian immigrant communities in the USA and USSR he has determined that the genes of the main races (American, Asian, Europeon, and Africa) also determined the likelyhood of immunity in that race. Americans are the most resistent to the disease having a 1/15 chance of immunity, while Asians are the worst off having a 1/40 chance of immunity. Africans have a 1/20 chance of immunity, and Europeons have a 1/35 chance of immunity. Also he believes that with the help of a numerous amount of donations by people with immunities he can produce a cure for the disease using blood donated by immune people. A similar idea has been put forth by Louis Pastuerski of Russia.
The Aztec religious leaders say that god is demanding sacrifice to end the plague rampaging accross the world. Aztecea becomes a reoligous dictatorship or theocracy.
Texas revolts from Aztec control! A Republic of texas has been formed from Iriquois and Aztec territory. the Aztec government, not having forces availible to put down the revolt have acknowledged their independence.
Korea and China make peace.
In a massive land battle French forces have driven the Indonesian army out of Vietnam.

White areas are settleable areas but you have to send a military force along or i garentee any attempts to colonize land will no succeed.

Just to inform you all you missed that the blood of immune people when injected into a disease person can cure them, you have to remember that there are a limited amount of immune people and that a supply of blood could be very low at best. Currently the only way to tell an immune person is to see if they died from the disease or not. Remember this please when trading the cure.

OOC: This reminds me of the book The Stand, with the "unstopple disease" and few survivors.
The disease was ding down finally. As a reult the UNI was able to pull out of it's worst depression and pull into a lighter recession. The whole of Juno Alaska, the largest Northern city was dead or abandoned. The dead was too much to contain. They were all over the streets. The morges and cemetaries were full and overfilled. Whole families were wipped out. Hundreads of thousands of orphans were found everywhere. The three interm governments, one after the other died from the disease until martial law took effect. The military though was also hit hard as hundreads of thousands of soldiers died. It was too little to contain the continues riots and disorder.
Reports of 70 million dead was believed to be false or propaganda for help from other countries. But when the French ambassador arrived after reports of a cure they found out that the once 6 million large city of San Fransisco was litterly a ghost town. The ambassador was reported dead 5 days after his arrivel.
With the total chaos in Alaska and canada the military had to pull out making it in complete anarchy. As a result the UNI claimed the areas but no longer had control. Although there is now an effort to retake the land now that order has been re established.
The "situation" with the NEC would hopefully be resolved. But the government feared they would use the Anasrchy as an excuse to claim Alaska and northern canada. Another issue was Russia wanting American colonies. Hopefully that situation could be resolved as well.
The UNI was pulling out of a crisis but the post- BN1 world would be very differnt and hard. Already signs of change had occured. The cities had 1/20 the population as pre-BN1. Milions also left cities to gointo rural areas. This only slowed the inevitable. When the first reported pilot flew over a wheat field near Sioux City there were literaly hundreads of dead people and animals just laying on the ground.

The Fuher Charles Galtier announced that the Aryan race of South America would retake its place in the world as a superpower. The Supermen will have there living space and the Reich will last a 1000 years.

I know it is a game, but I am offened that you would play as the NAZI's and stay in context of NAZI beliefs(as other games I've been in where they make Nazi germany better by having hitler die one way or another and avoiding the holocaust etc.)
