To Rome:

In a word: no. We follow our leader, the Grand-Bishop of Moscow who claims no divine authority and merely administers the church and leads the flock in the absence of our lord. He is no better than any man.
We are however both christian nations at heart, though our theologies differ, and i beg you to keep your temper.

To Babylon:

They have abandoned you in Rome, convert to Eastern Orthodoxy and I might be able to hold back the Indian's torrent.

To China:

I will join your war if babylon doesn't convert and upon your conversion to Eastern orthodoxy.
 
Russia begins Construction of a larger fleet, working to perfect their skills at sailing, and begins a slight campaign of conscription to enlarge the army a little. These will be Pikemen and Crossbowmen, not Cossacks so we are enlisting from the dregs of society.

The lords knew it would be hard work, but they also knew that with all the resources they had been storing rather than using while Richard was away, the work should be completed soon.

[OOC- EQ, I stopped bothering to play because it seemed that none of my orders made a difference - I'd order "use all of Britain's economic might to reach the next age" when Britain was prosperous and other nations easily reach it before me, and I never got much of an update on the status of the research until I finally got it years after some backwards African nation. Basically, I just didn't feel my orders were even read. I will start playing again, but please actually read the orders I give!]

Ok I’m back

I carry on re-reading the letter from his holiness the pope again. He asks for an ally in me while he threatens the Eastern heretics. As soon as the army expansion that had been ordered for many years had come through that that would make sure that I have an army that would be worthier of a battle against the Russian armies, then the alliance could be formed. Perhaps if the pope used his influence to help things along than the pact would work out.

Orders

Expand army to medium! (I’m checking the first page EQ)
Keep expanding the colony in Africa
Provide more funding to the wise men who seem to be on the edge of new age.

Orthodox pope visits Vikingland. For a 1 year trip the pope went through the land converting those who were not Orthodox and blessing those who were. As a result, the Viking government gave the pope a diamond in exchange.

Arab Confederation converts to Catholic Christianity, after a 200 year long war in between Catholics and Muslims there.

Egyptian troops land in India! After a long slow war from the coast fighting against Japaneese, Mongol, Chineese, and Indian forces, Egyptian troops have arrived in sight of Delhi. As a result, Indian forces are advancing more slowly in Babylon as they pull back tens of thousands of troops to Delhi. Also thanks to the rapid advance Indian forces have cut the Egyptian supply lines leaving the seige as a 1 chance last ditch effort. (someone please to a story on the attack of Delhi, as i am sure it would make a great tale.)

Zulu continue to advance against Kenya! despite rumors of a peace treaty Kenyan forces continue to fight against the seemingly invincible swarm of Iron Impi.

American nations at long last enter Iron Age thanks to the discoveries of Incan scholars.

Babylon: The formerly Persian Immortals which still lived in Babylon have offered their services to begin a guerilla war behind Indian lines.

Rome: Roman scholars enter the nation into the Dark Ages (just a name for the age)

Spain: Spainish scholars enter their nation into the Dark Ages.

Zululand: With a population spurt in the main nation, many people begin moving northward to settle new lands.

It is amazing to me to see how well this NES has done, especially if you compare it to any of my other NESs, which have all failed miserably. Most of them haven't lasted more than 2 pages. This one has done 17 pages so far, with no end yet in sight. If it lasts for another 5 days, it will be the first time any thread i have started lasted a month or more. :) :) :) :goodjob:

-Egyptian Republic

The hills surrounding Delhi gave perfect view to the city underneath. Many was a swarm in the gigantic city, with archetecture unknown to the Egyptitans. It was night, and the war-weary egyptian soldiers were fast asleep in their tents. Teh walls of Delhi had already been damaged, looking like a hump of rocks more the a wall, and the Egypitian siege weaponry was being reloaded. Bombarding was accuring all day and night, daily raids brought great hopes to the Egyptian warriors as well, each time they were pushing further and further.

The general Nefer, former pharoh of Egypt, was very enthusiastic of this battle, as the Indian moral was sinking. His armor, unlike the other egyptian ones, was not pierced, as he hadn't seen battle yet, but planned on it the next day. He stay alook over the city, noting the weak parts in whch he would lead the great might to.

He knew that his supply lines were cut, and that before the next battle, the general would lay it to his soldiers. He would say this would be the last chance of food and surviving, which would make his soldiers fight even more. The general was sure, also, that once the city was captured, India would not stand a chance against the Egyptian and Babylonian alliance.

The Prime Minister, with lumpy throat, clenched the map on the table with his fingers. He had almost positive feelings that his navy would be superior to that of the puny Indian navy, but he was proven wrong.

To his Military advisor:
"I want a huge transport fleet created, and a fleet double that size in fire tiremes and galleons. Bring the reserve navy from Madagascar to suprise the next naval battle, and act as reinforcements right away. Put all of Egypt's resources and people to this. Launch a propoganda campaign to flam the patriotism in Egypt to help build the superior ships, and enlist in the army. Send another task force, double the size of the last, to reopen resource line an reinforce our troops in Delhi. However, before sending troops, achieve naval supremecy, this is the most important order i have given today - achieve naval supremecy."

The military advisor walked away, trying to rememver everything. He knew a detailed report would be on his desk.

Meanwhile, from muslim refugees from Arab Confederacy, the christains in Egypt have become a minority. While Egypt promises religious freedom, Islam is promised to become the official religion next turn. (FYI: Muslim 68%, Christian 20%, Orthodox 6%, Zulu Orthodox 6%)

I will now sign the alliance that you have offered me. I think it should be called the “Defender’s of Faith” or something else. Also could it be open for all Christian nations? I do of course mean the Catholic kind, as the Orthodox Church is a renegade.

1)upgrade to DARK AGE!
2) settele southern china NOW!
3)continue help india in their lands, and conquer dalhi again for india.
4) send all navy to egypt!
5) grow the popolution to be the largest in the world!!!
6) grow education, health and police\fire defence in the country.
 
the empror have desided to help is own people befor the war will try to destroy anything the chines acomplished. he is ordering on building more schools, univesties, laboraties, police station, hospitals, fire-station and more.
he also ordering on setteling in southern asia(chian), for finding more recources for ice-cream.
a huge army have been sented to try and capture delhi back to the indias, and continue fight and conquer byblon, all the navy have been sended to egypt for trying and stop egypt from building huge fleets, and destroy her trade routs.
a new rule say "every family with one child will have to pay +100 in taxes while every other kid (2 and more) will give the family
-5% on taxes." this is for growing the chines popolution for more teachers, scientists warriars and others to grow up.
 
The Incan fleet must be established. We are sending explorations north to eventally reach asia. We greet the Aztecs and ask for an alliance of some sort and a unification of our religions. In unity... strength
 
Instead of upgrading the size of the navy bring it into the Iron ages.
 
Dark Ages now! Cossacks are to begin wearing armor and the King will begin knoghting them. Upgrade the Navy to Classical times at least.

I am being inactive diplomatically pending the conversion of one or the other nation.
