Reverting instant yields notifications to old behaviour on June 19th version (Answered)

I posted in the June 19 thread that there's a way of getting the old notifications back by following the instructions Ilteroi gave on Github:

if you want the old behavior, go to "EUI Compatibility Files\LUA\NotificationPanel.lua" line 322 and remove the trailing "B"

I'm not able to open the lua file type though. Does anyone know if I need to install a particular program to read/edit it?

You should be able to to open it in any plain text editor, such as Notepad.

I tried changing it but it did not work for me, any ideas? Do you replace the B with something else or you just delete it? Would appreciate a screenshot of your line 322 in NotificationPanel.lua

I don't like this change but I can understand why it was done.

It seems the consensus is that the previous version was preferable. It seems reverting it (with the option of the new behavior with an edit) would be sensible.

...because one or multiple notifications doesn't give enough information.

You still have to search for that info.

I'm not sure, sorry . I think I just removed the B. And maybe the blank space before it.
