RFC Civilizations in Abundance

Again, I'm not challenging this :)

Israel is for the Jewish, but still of course non-jewish citizens are treated the same as jewish ones.

This is.. debateable, to put is as diplomatic as I can. Let's keep our posts to game-related stuff as far as possible, and at least refrain from political statements like this, otherwise we'll have a flame war going on in no time :)

Could you free up civ slots by replacing minor civs with major ones (600AD ones). The Minor Maya with major Maya, Aksum with Ethopia, Sassanid with Persia, Scotland with Celts, and the Indian minor with the major Indian civ, with whatever historical names are appropriate?

Today's "Palestinians" aren't the Philistines
This is YOUR opinion
the ones in Gaza Strip are Egyptian refugees and the ones in the West Bank are Jordanian refugees that Egypt and Jordan didn't want back so Israel is stuck with them.
the Israelis and their Palestinian "cousins" do not share the same DNA at all. Most Palestinians have Arabic roots while most Israelis have European roots.

Egyptian refugees, Jordanian refugees are u serious:; Most of today Palestinans have been living in that land for 100s of years. Palestinians along with the rest of Middle Easterners adopted the Arabic language and Islamic religion after the Arab Conquest of the region. The original Bedouin Arabs from Arabia are not the same ethnic group as todays Palestinans or Egyptian or Syrian etc. These people had been living in that land before the 7th Century Arab Conquest.
I don't think that it should be called the state of Palestine, they are not a nation.
It just not as simple as that. There are just as many good arguments that this land belongs to the Palestinians as there are that it belongs to the Jews.

Please listen to Cosmos.

Yeah this argument should end but i think you need to know something... I am a Palestinian who lived in Australia for a couple of years and came back home, all i said was from MY Palestinian opinion, some of my best friends are Israelis and I DO get treated equally as them. One of my friend's family(Israeli) lived thee in the past 700 years. And 90% of us ARE refugees.

Under this line there will be no mention of the current political situation of Israel

thank you, good idea.

@hoplitejoe:

When the Celts respawn, they follow the same rules that every respawn has, that is, some cities in their normal area flip. Whether this occurs in Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall or the Bretagne depends on various variables (stabilita of the current owner, happiness in the city, etc).

If I introduce some respawn-civs (like Italy in Leoreth's mod) or old civs as something else in the 600 AD scenario, of course the minor civ's will be replaced by them.

Something seems to be wrong about the script when the Byz. Empire collapses.

Edit: Next turn, Athens goes Indy. But still no collapse.

I'm guessing that it's not the final collapse of the Byzantines, so they don't die, but collapse only in the way a human player would - many of their cities go independent.

I don't know when I'll be able to make the next release - I'll have to look into the possibilities of SDK modding further (that is, learn some C++ programming, really) in order to accomplish what I want to do next. As soon as I know how to do it, it probably won't take me long to do so; but seeing that I have a lot to do right now (big exams coming up, small exams coming up, and, what's more, AC Brotherhood and more importantly Dragon Age 2 have been released just a short time ago) it will probably take about a month.

I was just confused that I got a message and nothing happened :) But allright then! In the same game: I'm playing as Arabia, and after forcing my vassals France, who was in control of Rome, to convert to Islam, Rome lost it's status as Christian Holy City - the F7 screen now showed it as "none". Is there a explanation for this in the changes to the mod that I overlooked also?

And we'll look forward to the next release of course :D

By the way, the idea of having a lot of small indy cities who is not connected to each other is really more awesome than at first glance - also the changes in the 600 AD scenario concerning Byzantine Empire is excellent. Sometimes Trabzon and/or Baku manage to Capture Ikonion and when the turks Spawn, it's almost like the historical situation! It now also means the Arabs tends to expand in Africa and India, rather than use their Camel Archers for suicide missions against the Byz.' - so it's really quite the improvement!
One minor wish, concerning that: the small indy cities continue to build warriors for way too long, they should probably have Archery, or be able to get it easier. But it's really a great idea for sure!

I didn't meet the first requirement, was my mistake Nemausos?

Spoiler :

Nemausos probably was the mistake, if I remember correctly (I'm currently at work), I took the French Core Area to see if there were enough cities in France, and I think Nemausos is just out of it.

I don't know why Rome ceased to be the Holy City, at least the mod doesn't alter this.
I'll look into the techs of the small civs.

Jarkov: I dont know if it has already crossed you but you should consider adding the Berbers and maybe a Persian, Egyptian and Ethiopian respawn in 600 ad

In my experience, holy cities can cease to be holy if you fiddle with religions in cities (besides the actual holy city) in world builder. I don't see how this would be so here...

It has, they're amongst my goals for the next releas (maybe except the Berbers).
