RFC Germania

My original suggestion for Sweden had its spawn at 1134, when Sverker permanently United Svealand and Gotaland. Why exactly was the RFCE++ date at 1210? I wouldn't mind 1252 so much, but that would mean three modern UHV's.

2 of the 3 UHV of Sweden are already modern UHV. Only the first 1 needs to be changed. And as that is a very generic UHV (have 5 OB in 1250), I don't think that is a real problem.

@ Flame
You can add that list on the spreadsheet, as it actually is an excel file.

Yeah, that's what I meant (as in the second two are already modern), and then we would change another one to modern and make three modern UHV's and basically make Sweden only represent the Swedish Empire rather than the Kingdom of Sweden as well. The 5 open borders thing can definitely be changed, as I myself didn't really like the suggestion, but I still think it should have something to do with early trade on the Baltic.

Yup. It will be in resources folder in the next SVN upload called "time check"

I'll add it to the spreadsheet too

Sink X ships by Y AD?

By that I just meant superiority over the Baltic Sea.

Okay, all though I still like a trade-oriented goal better. What does Flame think on the whole "Later vs. Earlier Sweden Spawn" matter?

I favor the later spawn due to the Vikings and Denmark already being there. For balance's sake that'd work well but historically it' probably better to spawn earlier.

Maybe build X colonies by Y AD?
Have the largest navy by Z AD?

Well Sweden was definitely not a traditional colonial power like the Dutch or the French, so I think we should keep the colony oriented goals for them.
On the second one, the only significant date I can find is when Gustav Vasa bought some ships from Lubeck. They did have a navy but it wasn't anything special, basically like everyone else's.
On a completely unrelated note: I think that "...and every city on the Baltic Sea" should be added to the third Swedish UHV.

But they still had colonies and, again, I did the navy one for the sake of Baltic dominance. Also, pretty much all UHVs are exaggerated. Rome didn't go until 1000 AD without losing cities to barbarians before then and that's a UHV. Germany never controlled England and Russia but they have a UHV of that.

Two of the UHV's relate to something they really did, one relates to something they wanted to do (hence the barbarians in 1000 for Rome or the spreading of Islam for Arabia (Germany is a somewhat special case, since it has two)). We already have a Swedish "wannabe" goal (the third goal, which is why I think "...and every city on the Baltic Sea" should be added to the end, since that was certainly their goal. I stand by my earlier spawn in order to not only represent more of its history but also add more of an enjoyable and full-game-embracing (I don't think that's a term, but you get the idea) gameplay experience.

I'm not in favour of too many colony-oriented goals. After all, this mod is about the German territory and as such that should be the main focus. For example, if France should behave the same like in RFCE then RFCG would become something like RFCE light. I'd say the French and the Swedes should definitely focus on their German rivals and I'm sure they had enough conflicts to make 3 UHV goals out of that. This mod should be about continental Europe and colonies could maybe be a part of that (but only 'European colonies' I'd say, like the Venetian 'colonies'), but not a big part. Otherwise RFCE would be the better option anyway since it includes Spain, Portugal and England as a whole.

Colonies are simply there to add the historical realism and a bit of resources. The focus should be off colonies as they won't have much if any effect on the German countries.

I'm casting revive on this thread!

Should Otto von Bismark be included as a late leader for the Prussians?

I don't mind if he is included as an LH for Prussia. But I would rather have an early LH for Prussia. Frederick is also kinda lategame. (king of Prussia from 1740-1786). A leader in the early years would be more neccessary.

EDIT: After a quick research, I think it's better not to include him. He became minister president in 1862, which is after our mod. And as said, I think an ealry LH for Prussia is more needed.

Ideas for other Prussian leaders:
Frederick William
Wilhelm I
