Rhye's of Civilization - the fastest loading mod Expanded - PART II

The link to the separate download files doesn't work, and I can't seem to find it on Rhye's website. Is it still available as 4-5 separate downloads?

Here you can find links for an early version of Rhye's and Rhye's Expanded. Updates and patches should be available through Rhye's own site.

Just started playing it today and I'm having a blast! There's a few things to get used to, like no movement on unroaded mountains or jungles but it's more realistic. Playing as Persia, it's nice to have natural barriers from the tougher barbarians and enemy civs, with all the mountains around, even if it isn't ideal for my cities. The pace is definitely slower, but I like it better. I get to savor the ancient age, as it's my favorite era. Haven't played beyond that yet.

hi guys, loving the mod! however i've got some niggles with it. when im starting a new game loads of stuff says "YOUR CIVILIZATION" when im selecting rival civs and the little text box saying your title has disappeared. also lots of text is overlapped and boxes over lap. On the industrial and modern age tech tree the arrows pointing to the next tech are all over the place! and in the prefereneces the tick for apply says "music on" and im just getting realyl confused as to whats what? also when making a random map the icon for pangea says "60% WATER" and all the labels are all over the place! is this just me or is it supposed to be this messed up? someone PM me please :crazyeye:

so cann ijust patch it directly or do i have to uninstall ROC and then patch then reinstall? cna i keep my ROC saves?

to make it worse on the main menu all the options have been shuffled about so new game reads preferences and build barricade! i tried reinstalling and patching conquests but no luck D:

I see that the "installer" loaded the mod to Conquests/Scenarios/Conquests/Scenarios/Rhye... So I'll try to move it and see. Yes I found three folders and two biq. ;move them to the first scenarios and delete the empty folders. worked fine w/o gobbledegook!

sorry i dont understand what u mean? it installs into the main civ 3 directory i think . are you saying move it out of the subfoldeR? please explain

thanks

No, it is a C3C or Conquests mod. The "installer" creates a Conquests folder in your "vanilla" civ3 main file. Move the Rhye's content from this new place to the scenarios folder in your main Conquests file. It might work differently with a Complete but in any case it has to end up in an original scenarios folder.

thats strange because there was a conquests folder in my vanilla folder before i installed ROC but ill give it a shot (move it to the atari folder yes? )

cheers

hmm it appears the atari folder is in the start menu but not when i go into program files (im on vista) it appears conquests was installed into my main civ3 directory anyway and theres a conquests folder in my civ3 directory

Ok this is how it should look:

Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization 3\Conquests\Scenarios\RoC

If it's not here, then cut and paste.

Vista is similar to Win7. If you have C3, C3C you get this:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Conquests

If you backup to the parent Civ..3 you have a Conquest folder and a Scenario folder. That Scenario folder is for vanilla stuff. You also have civ3PTW folder all three are at the same level.

In the Conquest folder, you have another Conquest folder and another Scenario folder.
The conquest folder is for scenarios that came with C3C. The scenario folder is for user made mods/scenario.

This is where you have to put the folder for the main parts of this mod and the biq will be here as well at the same level. IOW not in the folder of this mod.

If you have complete, it gets yet another possible set of folders. In the end, when you load the game and select Civ-Content. The biq list is the ones you have to have this mod moved to, so look for one you know, if you have installed any.
