@Ondskan - Although this bump proved serenditpitous, local protocol discourages the bumping of threads >6 months unless some imminent purpose (besides praise) is involved.

Jokes aside I'm glad this place has lightened up a bit on bumping as there's some truly great stuff out there for Civ2 and Civ3 that's been completely forgotten about due to being buried and deserves showcasing to modern fans and visitors. Rhyes greener terrain was another one that just should never have been buried and forgotten about as I can't even imagine playing Civ3 without it now! Now purely by accident I discover @Rhye created this amazing underworld beauty too!

Can someone please post a screeny showing all the terrain? Computers with both internet and Civ are sadly lacking at my house currently!

EXACTLY what I was thinking! There wasn't a HoMM mod back when you made that comment but there is now days! Just imagine this amazing terrain set combined with @tom2050 's Heroes of Might & Magic 3 Civ3 Mod.

At some point after all my Civ2 activities I'll be getting properly into civ3 more and will be attempting to merge the dearly departed @Balthasar 's Mars terrain pack with a scifi mod to fill the void of there being no civ3 Mars scenario. I've never combined a terrain set with another scenario before which looks a likte a bit of a challenge lol so presumably once I've overcome that I'll have the experience/skills I need to combine this terrain pack with Tom's HoMM3 mod to make a spinoff scenario just for fun!

HoMM3 had both the lava terrains and also a magical fire realm terrain.. Rhyes world totally reminds me of them!

Ha! I just discovered that @tom2050 made his own hell world terrain using Heroes of Might and Magic 3 graphics! He's literally already done the work for me hahaha!

Wonder why he never did a spin off version of his HoMM3 scenario using this hell set.

I like Rhyes's oceans and rivers better though so perhaps some sort of merger for a future Hell spin off to Tom's HoMM3 Civ3 would work. The special resources from his HoMM3 scenario will take care of all the cows and whales etc below too haha.
