RifE New Feature Speculation

Is AI auto play finally going to be implemented? I hate having to play 100 turns to find out my tweaks didn't work.

............It already is. And has been since before I started RifE, as Xienwolf added it to FF.

In your config (same place you turn on python exceptions, in the BtS folder rather than a mod folder), search for 'cheat code'. Set it equal to 'chipotle'. Then in game, hit ctrl-shift-z, put in the number of turns you want, and hit the start button.

a nomadic something civ...

but how you'll do it.. mystery.

something (like the work on the Jotnars) so more new civs have an interst in religion, even if they get perticular ways of using it.
(I find there are too many new civs that are predestined to have a religion other than the standard ones, or are agnostic.... it blocks you in a heavy way for having a religious victory.)

Feel free to go wild, with the knowledge that even if you're correct it will not be admitted. ;)

Also... Those of you who have privileged information, please don't post anything about it. If you do, expect those privileges to be quickly rescinded. ;)

I have been praying to the Fall from heaven lords to have multiple maps interact and connect. Like one map would be the underwater caves and dungeons. Another crazy possibility is to attack and take over heaven and hell. That would truly make it CRAZY!:crazyeye: "aim for the heavens you will get earth included, aim for earth you will get nothing"

would be pretty cool with different elevations, not just a flat map with hills and mountains. Like in alpha centauri it was possible to raise and lower the terrain.
(tries to restrain self from installing alpha centauri again)

Other than that some more ways to control barbarians would be neat, sometimes I feel like playing modmods with just normal FFH barbs instead of hoards of giant man eating hamsters.

There will be a new Animal Super Unit, with straength that surpasses all other units in the game!

Look upon the face of EVIL!
Spoiler :

It is stealthy and can appear almost any were!

No, my 'nomadic' idea won't be in 1.30. A later patch. ;)

The issue is that's not actually different maps. It's one map, generating different regions, in an extremely gamey way. Not something I would do. Believe it's the same reasoning Kael had as well; You can have different regions in a map, but then you must teach the AI how to get into it, and try to keep it from looking like crap.

They can't match with ill-tempered mutated sea-bass.

well, regular carp can drag a fully armored and equiped dwarf to a water death, so I can only imagine the portential for destruction of a Demon Carp.

That would make it too hardcore.

The Lanun will have a Piracy Economic civic:

- Triple the amount of gold gained from Bounty Hunter and Blockades
- Increases coast commerce by one
- +25% Foreign Trade Commerce
- +50% Pirate (unit) production
- Chance of Naval Units going Barbarian (10-15%?)

One feature of Orbis I like is the promotions for being in the capital city and for being in a walled city, I'd like to see more promos like these.

Moar promos!

I hope the next update will actually WORK on my computer, Orbis just doesn't seem as good once you're had a taste of RifE.

maybe new unit - hamster with minigun and holyhandgranade :nuke: who will terrorize the strongest player :ar15:

The civopedia will be removed and replaced by a virtual magister. Many players will die from exhaustion and starvation simply from his epic tales.

You'll remove the Elder Council's ability to assign a sage, or you'll move the Elder Council upward in technologies ( philosophy maybe) so that maybe your first great person wont ALWAYS be a sage for Academy.

You'll remove the Academy (I'd like this one a lot, academy+library+scholarship +greatlib is stuuuuuupid broken)

You'll make Gifts of Nantosuelta just add engineers to the luchi capitol, because it's really not like anyone actually arms their city guards with the golden hammers.

You'll make Scions auto spray Haunted Lands like the Legion does

You'll make Korinna the Black an Assassin unit

You'll make Harmatt not suck. God, at least give him 4base str! And maybe make his withdrawal chance actually work... it never seems to.

You'll get rid of affinity on summoned units, or at least any summon not Archmage level. I'm looking at you, Priests of Winter and Death2 Mages.

You'll put Lumbermills at Mining and Workshops at Construction, like in the good old days. Seriously, Iron Working for workshops? What? And this is good for the AI too.

You'll find a way to make Great Artists not be the trashiest great person possible. Make them add city happiness or something, like Healers do for health. I know I'd be happy to live a block up from Mike Oldfield.

You'll let us settle great commanders again for +exp to units built in that city just like in regular Warlords. I hate sitting on 3-4 great commanders doing nothing after a bit of conquest.

You'll limit number of Great Persons you are allowed to settle in any city. Stop the crown of akharien abuse!

You'll make the Great Library require Philosophy as well as Writing. The +1 beakers on it has great cheese-power combined with Scholarship, the crown, and an academy. As in, a player can have their one city generating more beakers than any other civ's entire empire does. Broken.

Nope.

Possible, at least for the agnostic leaders.

You'll make Korinna the Black an Assassin unit .

She was originally. There's a reason that was changed. ;)

You'll make Harmatt not suck. God, at least give him 4base str! And maybe make his withdrawal chance actually work... it never seems to..

Most likely, as I'll be redoing the Austrin Recon line to fit the new recon line.

You'll get rid of affinity on summoned units, or at least any summon not Archmage level. I'm looking at you, Priests of Winter and Death2 Mages..

On the ice summons, yes. Death2, no.

That one was discussed a while back, but no.

ImprovementYields-1.jpg

Those are the yields for the next version. All improvements but the three mills (Watermill, Windmill, Lumbermill) are available from the start. The mills come in mid-late game, with higher yields.

Possible, have an idea but don't know if I'll implement it.

Probably not.

Nope. The situation you described is late game; The late game is MEANT to have broken mechanics.

The awful balance in rife makes more sense now.

Just because you like something when it's to your benefit in single player doesn't mean it's ok. I can't agree with you that "lategame is supposed to be broken". Lategame being broken is a :):):):)ing disappointment when you just spend four hours getting there just to have the game either lose all challenge, or become impossibly difficult. The second case only happens in multiplayer of course since the AI doesn't exploit broken things like a player does (scholarship+crown).

re:lumbermills, why give the full fist to non-elf Leaves followers like that?
