But does the potala palace slot also get converted? Strictly seen, it isnt a "slot in the current government". :p
Should be an easy check right now - pick Poland, go for Classical Republic, build Alhambra - see what happens. I expect the new American UA to behave in the same way.

Better look at that new world wonder.
Rainbow mountains!

Given that Government Plaza Buildings provide unique Policy Cards, this allows America to basically slot them in without having to sacrifice other slots except Diplomatic (and truthfully, there's usually only one or two I actually actively use all the time in those anyway).

Sorry, I meant like how diplomatic -> wildcard conversion has to do with the "Founding Fathers" themselves. Like the legacy bonus had to do with setting up a new government/constitution quickly as a new nation.

One thing about Teddy's new Movie Studio that I like alot is that, a fast tech runaway civ(s) on higher difficulty, cannot escape your cultural pressure at all. Basically beeline studios so that you put strong pressure on them and you do not have to force yourself to be neck and neck with them on science. That's pretty cool.

I cannot believe what I am writing but I think I want to play as Teddy right after my first Zulu game just to see how those new strengths work out.

So if one of those cities happens to belong to another civ, does it rapidly flip?
It said 'your cities.' If that is the original wording... if so, I don't think it has any bearing on foreign cities.
Zhangye Danxia. Updated my original post. It's from a spanish video.
Awwww... I would have preferred the ones from Peru. Nonetheless: colored mountains are always good.

What changed about those?

I noticed in Quill's livestream that the Ballistics tech is empty. Quill commented on it, saying something like, "Oh, and Ballistics is still weirdly empty!"

I thought that's where Field Cannons were? I'm assuming he's mistaken in that it's always been empty and that the empty tech can probably be chalked up to being a press build?

Anyone have a good explanation of how the new bonus relates to the “Founding Fathers” flavorwise? It’s a nice buff, but I don’t really see the connection.

It have to do with legacy, same as the old bonus just not as direct. They turned legacy into legacy cards, which go into wild slots, so America get more of those. The legacy of the founding fathers, basically..

It is Zhangye Danxia.

I was downvoting that in the Natural Wonders elimination thread....:p
There's really no history behind it and it's just pretty looking mountains....

It's still a bit of a stretch, but the Founding Fathers (generally) were well-versed in political philosophy and governing philosophy. They could use the legacy of Rome's Classical Republic or incorporate Oligarchic elements of Rome's Senate. So, it's less about the Founding Fathers getting government up quickly and more to do with incorporating governments of the past.

As I said, it's not a stretch, but it makes some sense.

It's weird that they skipped over ones like Mt. Fuji, Gibraltar, Sri Pada, or *gasp* the Grand Canyon for things like this and Eye of the Sahara. I guess they want to save some notable NW for the next expansion, but still...

Took a while, but finally found a frame with the Temple of Artemis tooltip.

I'm not a big fan of razing conquered cities.

Doubtful he could have survived either the counter attack or the loyalty flip. This has been my concern, because I do like to conquer some games. Conquering far away cities seems very problematic at best. I wonder how this will affect conquest victory.

"Camps, Plantations and Pastures within 4 tiles of this wonder provide +1 amenity. Must be build next to a camp. +4 food and +3 housing."

This is quite OP.
