was gonna do update yesterday (even told some of you so), but then it proved to be a very busy day here at work, which is rare during the summer.
Battles
Taken without a fight: 36, 58
Territory 31 - France 33 vs Rome 1
The French easily take the undefended city.
Territory 35 - Rome 3 vs Germany 4
This seemingly small battle proved longer then expected, after the first day, the Romans had twice the armies, but the city defences were relatively undamaged (a 2vs2 counting the city). but the city defence held out in the end.
Territory 56 - Germanay 3 vs Rome 3
The Roman defenders dug in early, and decimated the German attackers in a well executed ambush.
Territory 57 - Germany 2 vs Norway 2
This even matched battle turns to Germany's favor as the Norwegian army was tired from helping to build the new town here, the German attack destroyed the town though.
Territory 60 - Rome 2 vs Norway 3
Both the Romans and the Norwegians attack this undefended Russian territory, and each thinking the other is the Russian defenders, engage in combat. (this is wierd, but only one way to call it). after the first day of battle the forces are evened out (at 2 armies each), and on the second day, heavy fighting decimates both forces completely. The Russian governor is able to withstand demands from both attacking governments to turn to their rule, as neither has a military presence.

the Norwegians hoped to find the city a bit less defended, but it turned out, the whole of the Russian armed forces met them at the capitol. Not a good day for Norway's offencive.

We forgave the time Rome's troops fought ours in 43 or 44, though we did not forget it. We forgave the extortion over 26, though it costs us more than half that provinces income every turn with nothing back.
But this continuing of unprovoked and undeclared war, against, first, Germany, and now Russia, shall not stand.

figured, i'd offer a teaser of my next game to those of you in this one (or watching this one).
i started designing it a while back, but have now actualy gotten a good portion of it done. i wont end this game early or anything and i wont start that one till this one is dead, most likely.
as that thread sais, PLEASE do NOT post in it.
