If you want to make Poland take longer to capture, add more forests so units cant move as fast.
 
Possibly already mentioned, but there's a gap in the Maginot Line that allows Germany to invade France long before invading the Low Countries.

Theres one in the south(already covered) and one in the north that happens when amsterdam can't keep up in the culture race. That's also covered.
 
Historical events don't take place during AI autoplay. :( (I.e. when you do Cntrl + Shift + either C or X or M)
 
Dale, just how do you run a test game? You mentioned a full AI game for testing in one of these threads.

Play one turn, choose your event mode, then press CTRL+SHIFT+<one of>
- X = 5 turns
- C = 25 turns
- V = 100 turns
- B = 200 turns
- N = 300 turns

But you have to play that first turn to choose the event mode or you will end up in open play. :)

Well this is done, including religions. This means the only culture bonus is from traits (eg: creative) and specialists.

Running a test game now.

Current culture changes:
- No religion culture (removed from all religions)
- No building culture except Palace (removed from all buildings, still give happy though)
- Building culture produces 10% (down from 100%)
- Great Artist Bomb 100 (down from 4000)
- Artist city specialist +1 culture (down from +4)
- Creative gives no culture bonus (down from +2 per city)

I watched France culture bomb Strasbourg and take most of Central Europe from the +4000 culture. Hence the drastic change there. :)
 
i know but the rest of central america is the same as the usa. got to world builder and go to territory and youll see what im sayin

Have you got BETA2? I changed CA's colour. It's pink now (or something close to it).

Have you thought about just eliminating culture production? To me it seems stupid to give culture any weight at all in this sort of mod because the time period. Last time I checked, Germany used military to capture Danzig, not culture, if you know what I mean. All that would require is eliminating the artist (artists paid by government during war lol), culture production by buildings, and the culture bar, as well as a few SDK or python fixes. The main SDK fix would be a way to allow conquered cities to expand their borders, which isn't too hard to fix as well.

Also, I have a neat idea about operation Barbarossa that is super easy as well as realistic. The instant Germany invades, the USSR gets a few settlers in the Urals. So, after a good amount of turns (by mid 1942), the USSR would have good production in the Urals, as was the case in real life. It's just something to consider.
