1. alerum68 (requested a skip)
2. FeedBack (up for 10 turns)
3. ·Imhotep· (might request a skip based on other posts)
4. EmperorFool (could be up again!!)
5. Ruff (just declared war!)
Re the WAR ... that Saladin city has 2 chariots, 1 archer, suggest going after it with 1 or 2 spears, 1 or 2 chariots, 1 or 2 axes (4-5 units total) ... and RAZE it ... it isn't on our city game plan. After destroying it, sign for peace and maybe get some techs!!
I got it running, but had to update to 3.13.:| Not happy about it, but I'll take it over nothing. So this will be my "I Got it!" Is late now, so won't touch it until tomorrow.
Wow... you get off for the weekend and all this stuff happen??
Alerum, glad you can play. I wouldn't be able to until Wednesday. You playing tonight fits completely in my schedule!
I agree with ruff on the war. Raze the city and sue for peace. We don't need to get more cities and razing Saly ones should be a PITA.
Actually, I think the AI now is challenging again. I was trying to work on Monarch (and things were a little easier than I thought), but now on 3.13 even Prince has something to tell us. I never saw the AI having Alpha before myself even on Monarch, getting IW and Maths before... Strange...
That is strange, isn't it? I picked up Mathematics instead of Alphabet because, heck, this is prince and I usually play on emperor. I was surprised to see an AI get Alphabet so soon.
If Imhotep passes as well, I might be able to pick it up tomorrow, but I'd rather put my limited time toward getting the 3.13 BUG out the door this weekend.
First of all a neat feature ruff built into the Logger: Battle Stats. They're written to the log once you hit Alt-B. Here are the stats for my 15 turns:
Battle Stats: Units victorious while attacking : 4 Units victorious while defending : 2 Units defeated while attacking : 1 Units defeated while defending : 1
At the beginning some dude showed us we suck culturally. Who cares ?
I then traded for Iron Working as ruff suggested. Nothing valuable out there besides that tech though.
We got Iron at the gates of our capital !
The lands of our vile enemy. Say hello to Mecca, home of Buddhism.
Poor Isabella lacks a religion still, which is quite unusual. I signed OB with her.
Then it was time to get rid of the nuisance at our borders. The war horns sound ! Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge !
The ashes are still smoking...
Time to get civil then, alas Sally wouldn't part even with cheap Meditation.
Here is the feature ruff has spoken of in his last turnset. With hitting Alt-M you can set a reminder that pops up a message after the specified amount of turns. In the screenie you also see another feature EmperorFool crafted: The Great Person bar. Basically it shows you which city generates the next GP in how many turns. Which is rather neat if you want to control which GP is spawned next...
The Bizstacker™ felt lucky and wanted free stuff. I sent him packing.
Overall we're doing really well, I think we are in a strong position. The Iron is hooked up already, which means we can build Swords now. I researched Construction and set Currency as our next target. A Settler is being trained, as we can clearly expand. I hire 2 Scientists in our Capital, GP will be birthed soonish.
Imhotep

Got it. Will play Friday night probably since I'm pretty busy this weekend and want to keep up the flow.
Also, I'll try to highlight the features this next time. I went story-crazy but won't be able to keep that up. I think I spent all my creativity points for the year in that post. How sad, eh? I probably had like 7 CPs.
BTW, Impaler[WrG] created the original GP Progress Bar. I only added the clickability -- maybe the city name, too; I've already forgotten. I'm often amazed I remember to finish my
lurker's comment:
takes you to the city which is producing the next GP
jeez, SOME fine group of people go to all the trouble to put together a fine mod, w/clickable GP bars, and some lazy shot is too . . . . er, lazy to click the bar.
Oh, I thought I was up after alerum, but... Well... I was going to request a skip anyways. I thought I had time to play yesterday, but I overestimated the time. I couldn't even play MLG3....
Nice turns, Imhotep! Glad to see things rolling on!
1. alerum68 (skippity skip skip)
2. FeedBack (skippity skip skip skip)
3. ·Imhotep· (just played out of order, but no prob with me!)
4. EmperorFool (up!!!)
5. Ruff (waiting)
I start with a quick tour and notice some things that seem off to me.
Kyoto is working a 0-4-0 tile instead of the 2-4-1 Iron. Fixed. I add a Worker after the Spy finishes to keep from growing into unhappiness, though a Colosseum would fix that.
Satsuma (seemingly production city, 2 right now) is building a Library. Let it finish (4 turns) for the culture, but add a Barracks.
Tokyo (a great commerce city) has a barracks and needs more Cottages rather than hooked up Sheep. Move Worker to help add a couple Cottages (city is working unimproved FPs now).
Osaka ... is going to cause us to declare war on China in 8 turns. Oh boy. I move the army (5 units yay!) south and start some plans. I suppose we can declare and stay on the defensive until we have some decent offensive units, so no biggie.
On turn 6 we meet the Native Americans. I wonder if the Americans have anything to say about that. Be on your way, eagle scout.
Sorry, no pic. I must have hit the peace pipe too many times.
On turn 7, some smart guy is born in Kyoto. I'll save him so we can discuss what to do with him.
BUG Highlight: The GP Tech Prefs mod shows that he wants to research Aesthetics, and would research Sailing after that. Note we may just want to execute him since it seems he'd rather be an artist in some far off land.
Turn 8 was rather busy.
Saladin demanded that we teach his advisors how to count. I started by showing him a single digit.
Our wise men learned how to count our money.
Founded Kagoshima.
Oh, and China dared to get in the way of our cultural expansion. Our Chariot is bringing back some Chinese Workers so we can explain the situation to them. Our mighty four-unit army threatens their stables.
Also, China sent a Swordsman and Settler west from Guangzhou. Our forces are sadly out of place. And to complicate matters, both Guangzhou and whatever city is hidden to its east expanded their borders. This means we'll have two cities to clear before we can end war since Satsuma's borders will expand soonish.
BUG Highlight: Here's a look at the current scoreboard. Notice the aligned icons for easier visibility and the fist icon to denote our war status with China.
BUG Highlight: Notice that we could make Guangzhou very unhappy for 8 turns. I set the espionage up so we can start getting points against China again and 1 against Persia. Too bad we're a long ways away from being able to support a revolt to knock out that 40% cultural defense.
