Ragnar thinks he can out-prick us. He has enough on his hands and is +16 with Wang, and on my first turn I spotted a stack of nearly 30 Vikings heading in the direction of Seoul.
NOBODY out-pricks us
I turned research off and built some gold, upgraded our forces in Seoul to Rifles, and waited until he parked his stack right next to the city...
Not a single Viking survived, at the loss of some Trebs and an Elephant
Then I waited until Try's fleet full of Trebs arrived, and split our forces in two. A stronger stack, ferried up the coast by sea, went north, pushing through Korea into Viking territory. A second stack went south over land.
Razed 4 Korean cities and 2 Viking cities. Wang is pretty gassed, but Ragnar still has a little left.
Current stack locations:
The southern stack just razed a city on the coast. It should probably heal for a couple of turns, as it doesn't have a supermedic. After it pushes west, it could probably use some reinforcements, as it had some unlikely RNG losses and is down to 2 Trebs, 4 Rifles (1 CR GG), 4 Knights, and 5 Phants.
The eastern Viking stack is besieging Jelling and just finished bombarding the defenses down to zero. Ragnar is attempting to make a stand there, but we have 5 Trebs, 13 Rifles, and 3 Knights, so we should have no problem. There are also 10 Galleons parked outside the city. After Jelling falls, we can move our stack by sea down the gulf toward Haithabu, or across to Ribe and Birka.
There's also a western Viking stack. I've routed all reinforcements to Karakorum, which is building Galleons to sail east, as this route is much quicker than the one we were using before. We are slowed by lack of Trebs, so that's what most of our cities are building. This stack has 15 Rifles, but only 3 Trebs atm. There are 3-4 Galleons shuttling reinforcements over. Ragnar has a minor naval presence over there, but not much of a threat.
Keep an eye on our rear near Seoul, as Ragnar has been sending stray units that way. We have a couple of Rifles in the area.
WW is a bit of an issue, but not much. Chemistry was learned and Steel ordered next. After that comes in I suggest dialing research to zero for Cannon upgrades. We are slowed by transit times and lack of siege, but we have an overwhelming advantage over both and it should just be a matter of time before our prickdom rules the world.
