yes. i've emptied briefcase so i can upload the whole file. there was misc. art files and ak's .rar files posted on briefcase. i'll upload the updated files when i am at my home pc in a couple hours. as for playtesters, we should focus on 'gameplay' and 'AI behaviour'. i'm thinking that the "balance" is there; at least as far as units, amount of units (particulary the starting units), small wonders and improvements. the tech tree, believe it or not, could probably be added to. but, we should worry about that later.

i took luddi's advice and took several steps to make it hard for the US and S vietnam to succeed; ie, culture buildings, auto-producing buildings (n vietnam's auto-producers are 'Buidings' and can be built more than once, unlike the US/S Viet sm wonders of S Korean Barracks and AATTV Barracks)
also, the 'Soviet Aid' tech advance for N Vietnam essentially allows them to build all of the russian made units. this is huge and it's available about half way through the tech tree.

sounds cool:goodjob:

I looked though the units and the heavy artillery unit I think needs better graphics, if you want I can look for better graphics for you.

Just woke up and tryed to play but I need the text files;)

btw for the heavy Artillery why don't we use the standard Artillery Multi-Figure Unit.

oops...i may not have zipped them. :wallbash: sorry for that.
check that site later today and i'll post them. probably around 5 pm eastern US time.

luddi posted text files on a previous post. but they were missing some entries as well as the units i personally added.

also, make those changes to the biq (those in one my previous posts)

in the meantime, why don't we look around for any unit graphics that may be an improvement

btw, i personally like MF units (if the graphics are ok and not crappy). especially as an upgrade or to act as a division or something. the ACWC3C scenario used them and they were great!

I also need the unit_32.pcx file

ok I got the unit_ 32.pcx, and yes that is cool but the Paras are better:p

The size is enourmus. Is it all the units that is added to the game from the beginning? If it is could you upload a file with only the graphics that are added right now.

the file, minus the Text folder, is about 36 MBs zipped up. i put all of them in so we won't have to do it again:D

luddi, you can 'reject' any units during the DL and 'accept' only the ones you do not have....or i could zip up the ones you don't have (the ones i added). but i won't be able to do that for several more hours. let me know what's best/easiest for you.

we should try and stay away from giving the US too much firepower...but we could make the 'AATTV Officer' (australia auto-produced unit) and the 'S Korean Infantry' MF units. what do you all think?

ok. i sifted out the units for luddi. check that xdrive site. i believe that there are 11 of them. make sure you have the new building grapics too, Ludi.

sorry about not posting the Text files. here they are...

i noticed another problem in the biq...under the 'Governments' tab, i hadn't put in all of the info for 'S. Vietnamese Democracy' and it was reflective of this in-game; ie leader title, which should be 'President'. also, i'm noticing that the upkeep costs for each civ i've play-tested are enormous. the only thing i changed was under the 'Terrain' tab, where i raised the 'Commerce' for 'grassland' tiles to 5. will this alleviate our problem? do you guys know a better way other than giving each civ a boatload of money at the start?

also, you guys have DL'ed the Text?
