I'm glad to see polls are working again.

To restate what I said in the last thread.
Literacy -> Philosophy
Then we go after Republic
And only then we should think of Polytheism.

I disagree.

Polytheism is far more important then Republic right now, because it leads to Monotheism, which means Crusaders (An Excellent early atatck unit), and more importantly, Michalangelo's Chapel, and the Churches it provides to EVERY city.

Republic is useless at Emperor level in 1x production untill later eras, when factories are availible.
It's only usage at this point is to get banks and democracy, and both are not needed just yet, it's more important to get a powerful attack unit (Elephants, and then Crusaders), as well as continuing on the path to the critical Leo's wonder, then to worry about Republic, which we can't use, and banks, which won't be built for centuries.
