Screenshot analysis!

The brownish thing looks a bit like a shipwreck.
Spoiler :

At least it would be a nice touch to the game if they would put some of the archeological sites in coastal waters ( like shipwrecks of ancient naval battles ) which could only be salvaged if you discovered a neccesary technology. But I doubt it somewhat.

That would make lots of sense both from a historical and a gameplay point of view.

Some questions from the video:
1> At :19 seconds we see a spearman with a red icon, which I assume is a barbarian. Later, at 1:10 we see some units without any icon. Presumably barbarian? Are those buff weightlifters barbarian warriors? Have we seen that unit before? It looks pretty cool.
2> At :58 seconds there is a purple treble clef icon in the bottom right and a red home with an arrow icon surrounding the "choose production" icon. Any idea what these are?
3> We can guess the that shape of the background for each icon represents what it unlocks from the screenshot at 1:03. Resources are square, units round, buildings are pentagons, and districts are hexagons. The culture icons don't seem to be designed yet.
4> An oasis can be seen at :53. I'm not sure these have been confirmed yet?

That's a really good question. One would assume the purple clef has something to do with culture, or possibly something with a great musician. The one with the red house is more curious, one would assume it has something to do with drop in housing capacity, but it has a slider attached to it, so I'm not quite sure what to make of that?

This Warrior is likely to belong to one civ with the Slinger. The Slinger was converted to Builder, so it's not Barbarian. I assume that's just Warrior variation for some civ.

The red one looks like low housing, although at this stage wrong icons could be used.
The purple treble clef likely asks to choose next civic as we see the "Early Empire" civic was just complete.

Yes, looks like it.

4> An oasis can be seen at :53. I'm not sure these have been confirmed yet?

I don't think we've seen one before.

We definitly have seen one before. Although from this video we can make up that it is possible to enter units in oasis tiles as was the case in previous civs. From the appearance I thought that maybe they changed it because it looks more like a lake now.

Yeah, there were oases in the Egypt video.

In the espionage message about war between China and Japan, there are 5 dots at the bottom, 1 of them filled. Looks like intrigue level to me, similar to CivBE.

The Base Strength of Garde Imperiale is 65, Mustketman is 55.

So, it looks like it replaces Musketman. I wonder whether we have Rifleman in this game at all.

Copy pasting stuff from Medici topic

0:54 - Swamp resource. Sugar? Marshmallow icon?

1:00 - Mention of Enlightnement civic & "Alliance" diplomacy option

1:12 - Great Prophet & Military Engineer(?)Modern Builder?

1:23 - Woman in pink. Great Artist?

1:40 - Military engineer

1:40 - Looks like a protestant church sort of thing. Plain.

1:42 - Modern great general

Why?

I don't think so, it is not a small gap between 65 and 55, and it doesn't mentioned that Garde Imperiale has higher base strength. I don't think it replace musketman.

It's less than 20% and the rest of the bonuses are not that great. Also, looking at them fighting Musketmen makes me think they are on equal level.
