Even without any graphical mods yet, Skyrim isn't as bad looking as I thought it would be.

Magical effects are vastly improved, I love this sword!
Some of the caves have a rather lovely design in places.

Solitude is the nicest city, and the only one that feels like an actual town instead of a fancy village.

If you look closely you can see the tracers (I kept them enabled because I like seeing where the bullets go). Mostly they seem to be aimed at the sky.

Its a bit chilly out tonight, so I figured I'd send him some place warmer.
So I got married and a few random people showed up (once again, Bethesda half-asses a feature). Lydia, some Argonian merchant I'd done a quest for, one of the Companions, and... me.
For some reason I have a clone stuck in the church now, always wears exactly what I wear. He acts and talks like one of the Grey Beards.
For some reason this dude is a ghost but acts like a normal Imperial Soldier/Guard.
Napoleon: Total War, an easy conquest of Holland. They tried to hide behind a hill but I think that just made it worse.
Stopped for a photo-op in NW

I wish I could play Red Orchestra 2, but due to Punkbuster being an enormous pile of feces if I play for more than 20 minutes I'll crash and it will freeze my computer, requiring a hard restart.

Even without playing with the graphic settings yet, the game looks pretty damn cool. I especially love the world design, Divinity's Reach actually looks like and feels like a real medieval city complete with winy alleyways!

So, I fell off a cliff (again, this is becoming a common occurrence for me) and figured eh I'll just get a snack, check some stuff and browse the net while I wait for some to revive me. Almost an hour later someone attempted a rescue.
Thankfully the wee Asura turned out to be somewhat godlike and managed to revive himself and revive me.

A classic Norn game of capture the ale barrel (I forget the name, beer brawl or something).

The NDA on the Planetside 2 beta was lifted today, so here are a couple of screenshots I took.

Combat at night! Random Vanu and NC mosquitos and libs kept trying to intercept us, even though we had a Galaxy, 3 Mosquitoes and a Liberator ourselves in addition to other people not in our group flying in.
The game is still very much a beta and they do not have the high graphical settings included or fully enabled in the beta (probably to keep the size down to ~5 gigs).

Anything you can tell us gameplay/quality wise? The game looks interesting, but I never played PS1.
As for the graphics... It's kind of weird. Sometimes I agree, sometimes I don't. I have to say I was mildly disappointed by the graphics, but it really seem to depend on where you are. Zoomed in picture of crappy rock textures are kind of bad. But many landscapes are pretty nice. Also I guess it depends on your graphics settings.

For the most part it looks very good, there are a few places like those rocks and tables which are oddly very low res, I don't know what is with that.
It is an FPS with ships and tanks and stuff. Very arcadey but since they are dealing with incredibly large maps and hundreds if not thousands of players on the same server it makes sense. You can fly very well using the mouse&keyboard (the joystick isn't actually properly supported yet) unlike in most games where that is very difficult.

I install a lot of mods. Currently, I have about 60 of them. This includes the ability to have more followers:
Another gives all of those followers horses.
The abundance of followers creates a proportional abundance of bugs. For example, the mod that lets me have more followers also gives me a power that warps all of them to my location. If I do this when they are on horses, strange things can happen.
Since this is a mage playthrough, and mages suffer from a distinct lack of decapitation killcams, something is needed to fill the gory deficit. Burn Freeze Shock Effects is a step towards this Noble Goal.
There is even a mod that changes loading screen text. Uncle Sheogorath's Really Helpful Hints And Tips makes even loading screens screenshot worthy.
