Secret Hitler - I - The First [Concluded]

I actually lean towards Visor as liberal now, cause I doubt legato nominates a fascist buddy there. That would be uncharacteristically reckless for him.

i think if we shoot legato, and he flips fascist, that looks potentially good (besides lolbussing) for zack and apoc (unless they are going for a play to clear zack as hitler and get him to be chancellor)

I would like input into who should be chancellor.

Stork, gimme some hottakes to read in the morning.

Visor, I will nein any plan that doesn't include me, Zack or possibly Stork.

I'm down for you to pick Stork and then we find out about both of you one way or another.
(if/when you pass Stork two facist cards, I will be happy to close out the game for Liberals at that point :p)

Kills don't flip in Secret Hilter though iirc

So, I'll ask you what I asked Visor, explain how it's a +EV move to out two facists in one fell swoop?

Nobody is outted.

Its depending on the flip if we get to a kill power.

You are 'potentially' outted.

If legato flips liberal, that means zack was lying, and then apoc was lying which does out two fascists.

and technically all three could be fascist trying to get hitler to an endgame scenario

interesting mechanics at work

assuming Stork is not Hitler that is :twitch:

Me, Zack, or YOLO on Stork.

I think Stork Hitler gets away with being slightly less pro-Liberal than he has been, but it's impossible to say really. Just gotta pull the trigger and hope.

hmm. that changes my thinking up a bit

i was thinking there was flips and we could solve the game based on that

damn

well I'm not going you, legato or zack fwiw.

i am gonna steer clear of the whole controversy.

well, then you're picking 2 liberals from 4. Rather than 4 liberals from 7.

meh, kinda works out the same. But one of those 4 is peeked

I was neining you, not Visor.
Which was pretty evident from my post to Loehren, but nice try

There's no difference. Either way you gave up the same opportunity, however myopic your meandering.

As for Hitler, I sort of doubt it's Jarema, at this juncture he's too uninvested and being prayed on for looking typically scummy. Though keeping him out of office is probable and I wouldn't argue for his election as he looks so dirty he'd never make either role anyway at this point. If Stork is a fascist, he's played the game brilliantly.

KM has been spartan at best, so I'm uncertain there and Visor I'm leaning no currently, though being elected by me would be pretty ironic, and might explain his lack of reading what looks super blatant to me. It would also explain his desire to be peeked...but he doesn't feel scummy to me. He's also looked a bit different in meta anyway in recent games and this does fit his play in Pizza's game. Lohr is probably liberal, though I'd like a little more to be sure.
Consider I'm talking from a position of game theory here, where people are making the most optimal choice. There are definitely scenarios where people might think it's a good idea to pass opposite policy, but I don't think that's necessarily the correct choice.

According to the following links, Fascists frequently pass liberal policy:

I don't think this really works because one of those players could easily be a facist player who voted in a liberal policy at the start to garner trust. That's a very common tactic from what I've seen.

One of the key things we learned from this data is that the Hitler mechanic is not just part of the game’s theme, it is the core of a successful fascist strategy.

The repetition of rounds in Secret Hitler also provides plenty of opportunities for fascists to try to earn the trust of the liberals, by passing liberal policies or appointing liberal chancellors when they don’t have to.
