The video showed that reefs give +6 adjacency bonus to campus which seems excessive to me. What do others think?

That you are not seeing that it was surrounded by 3 reefs :P

Fingers crossed that the "mysteries" found on the new world continent are unique resources, fauna, and flora. Perhaps we finally get the humble yet every so important potato? Certainly, these new discoveries warrant a new GP Botanist...something I've pushed for years.

New Resources would be fine, but who cares? We already have at least two very high quality mods that add more resources. I can't even tell the difference between the ones in the base game and the ones made by Sukritact, so this is the least important thing for Firaxis to bother themselves with.

While these Mods are indeed wonderful and I use them repeatedly due to the lack of resources etc in the basic game, it would be welcome I think for purists of the base non-modded game.

My two cents:
The new reef adjacency for campuses is great, but I also really want to see (1) return of some sort of riverside bonus for lumber mills (e.g., 1 gold, with an additional production part way through the tech tree and another gold later in the tech tree) and (2) new ways to get adjacency bonuses for theater squares. Here's to hoping there are more fun tweaks coming. :please:

I would mostly like to see districts get stronger adjacency bonuses for alike districts, so clustering Campuses from 3 or 4 cities together to make a mega-Campus.

Meh, I'd myself go the other direction, there should be a limit to how much benefit you can get from grouping several campuses into the same area.

I think Theater Squares should get a bonus from either tile appeal or beautiful features. Considering that historically much of theater/performances have been outside, I think an ampitheater next to a lake or mountain should be extra popular. I'd be careful not to have it compete too much for mountain space with Holy Sites and Campuses though... mountainside spaces are already in high demand. Personally I would remove Campus's mountain adjacency altogether but add a tile improvement (observatory) around the renaissance that anyone can build on a mountain (like the ski resort) which gives science in some way.

I'd like to see more opportunities for planning ahead for big adjacencies like we now have with the IZ. I like @iammaxhailme 's terrain considerations for the theater square. Also, perhaps it gets standard adjacency instead of minor adjacency from entertainment complexes, campuses, neighborhoods, and city centers. I suspect that any overhaul this extensive would have been mentioned in the patch video, though.

Can't wait to play a Terra map as the Maori.

It would be interesting to see if you can occupy the entire landmass before the Old Worlders show up.

That makes a lot more sense. Thanks for correcting my oversight :crazyeye:

Just an observation: getting +6 Bonus from 3 Reefs is not outrageous compared, say, with a Holy Site/Lavra on the Tundra with Dance of the Aurora, which can easily give you a +6 or +7 Faith yield from adjacency, so the new Reef adjacency is not out of line with current adjacencies in the game.

I've wanted theater squares to get more adjacency bonuses toward city centers since a lot of cultural sites including theaters and museums are located in or near the center of large cities.
