Where is this "individual" of which you speak? The situation described was specifically noted as applying across several municipalities and counties, and across all the inspectors encountered in any of them. That was the point.

The sad truth is that the race of the inspecting agents makes little if any difference. If anything, the POC inspector is even more aware of the realities they can expect if the white customer complains about them, or if they call the cops on the brown guy. That's the true horror of institutional racism; it co-opts the participation of the very people it discriminates against.

Well, do you think there's anything else to go on? When people complained that they had been turned away by the Trump Organization they were also met with "Well, that's just your experience. There's no written discriminatory policy in place there, so <shrug>. That's actually WHY I took exception to your "well, there's no more written policy so institutional racism is a thing of the past hurray!" position, which is flatly nonsense.
Ah, my bad. Missed that. Yeah. Got thrown off by being referred to as an agent.
Now, the question becomes...by putting me in his place in any dealings with the institution in order to get a better result, are we in fact supporting the institutional racism ourselves?

At work, I pretty much always get questioned ... like when submitting variance commentary, I'm asked "Did Bill, Dave, or Jim verify these?"
But I literally write up reports for my (male) coworkers to submit, and they just get a "Good job" (even though I did it)

I did read it I've been in similar positions.
Without more information the junior staff do the grunt work while the higher ups get the glory.
That might not apply to your position.
The documentary I posted looked at places Rwanda, Iceland's, women's representation, change etc.

I'm not it happens to males working for other males. Or women working for other women.
Best case scenario is who above you kicks it up to whoever is above them and you get promoted.
I left a job like that once. Asked for pay rise got it, but there was other stuff going on and I left.
Because I was the only one good in that position cross training wasn't a big thing and they lost customers after I left and eventually got bought out two years later.
My supervisor was an ******* but made himself look good.

Sounds sort of like being unqualified to apply for the newly created position that you will be responsible for training. Then supporting. After you've been doing it for 3 years. For 1/3 of the pay. Not that any of us have ever run into that in government work, I'm sure.

The Trump Organization was actively racist in policy, and caught at it for their 'off the books' procedure, after the law required them to "not have it in writing." There is no particular reason to think they haven't cooked up some alternative process and continued using it to this day. As to the time frame on my other example, I expect to be seeing a building inspector within the next ten days. That is purely current.

The information you provided wasn't indicative either way. That happens everywhere regardless of gender. At least as you described it.
Obviously you're the one who is there on a day to day basis and I know another American in healthcare and she has a similar position except the doctors etc outright hit on her brush up against her "accidentally" etc and you didn't mention anything like that.
Bullying here is fairly systematic in the workplace it's a problem.
Trump Organization low hanging fruit though.
I've left jobs over various things. My wife's workplace can be cancer, boss is a jackass but he treats everyone like crap ( previous branch was glad to get rid of him).
It gets worse though the higher up as one of here workmates got the indecent proposal scenario in the executive retreat scenario.
If there's other stuff going on absolutely but as Mary described it by itself isn't sexist.
So Mary if there other stuff going on just indicate that. I don't need to know what it is, but have been in the same sition with a boss that was physically abusive and would hit people.
