EastPort Units
assuming no DoW with Hatsegawa due to city gift to Genghisgawa of EastPort I will
on T135 disband Axe 1,2, 4, and 5 (low xp units not worth their upkeep) after I'm sure there is no war...

Not sure if you started playing yet, but would it be possible to delay disbanding these 4 axes until our spy in Ghenghigawa's lands confirms there is no ice barrier seperating Ghenghigawa's ocean space from Hatsegawa's ocean space? It would only be a few turns and they could be useful in an absolute worst-case scenario of us only being able to reach the north AI from Ghenghis' ocean.

Other than that one tiny thing, PPP looks good. :)

I assume that bcool is picking up the pace of the turn sets, since we aren't sure we will win this game in little more than two more 10t sets (in the two weeks remaining).

I will be available to take the turn set following bcool's and plan to complete it in about 3-4 days. Assuming we can complete subsequent turn sets at one each 3-4 days, that allows us to easily get three more turn sets and possibly squeeze in a fourth, if necessary, before the deadline.

The closest team right now is One Short Straw at turn 155 (AD 900). A t156 win would in the worst case tie with them, because they would need at least one "end turn" to get to the hidden winning save (assuming they have won already which itself is doubtful).

I haven't started and I can delay disbanding these units.

Do you want me to send the EastPort Stack north?

So if the spy confirms there is no ice barrier separating Ghengisgawa's ocean space from Hatsegawa's ocean space then I can disband them and send the rest south?

I envision the worst case being resolved with a sneak attack against a Ghenghigawa coastal city when his main SoD is heading south through Hatty's lands to hit Tokugawa.

I'd say send the EastPort Stack south as planned, and then disband the axes once the spy gets a pretty good look. If the worst case happens we can turn the stack around and head back north with it, but I think the whole thing is a low odds event. Maybe 3 or 4 turns before disbanding them.

Post #3128 has a screenshot on the left that visualizes the problem if the mapmaker mirrored an ice barrer over the mountain range. Our spy exploring southeast of Ghenghi's capital along the coastline should get a pretty good glimpse of any problems.

ok to Kaitzilla's plan to delay disbanding 4 axes in EastTown stack

playing.

T134 traded machinery for monarchy and 30 gold
switched to hereditary rule and paganism
gave currency and machinery to team AI and got 30 gold as well (got +4 relations)
renegotiated iron to toku for 1 gold (no other team lacks iron)

T135
selected AP vote to give TrojanHorse back to us
voted against it, got +2 from for it which pushed us to pleased
I begged 70 gold from him :)
ceasefire with Elizabeth
gave away Liztown
1st spy was caught
2nd spy stole feudalism
Hatsegawa denied our beg
So attached GG, upgraded trireme, missionary boarded and EastPort given to Genghisgawa
Hatsegawa had another stack behind the first sword 5 catapults and 4 war chariots in addition to the 4 catapults 3 swords 1 xb and 8 War chariots and 2 more xbows coming. EastPort would have been a smear on the ground...
We are now at +10 gold with all cities building wealth so I will be building some research soon.

Ice appears to separate Genghisgawa's ocean and Cyrusgawa's ocean...
mountains continue to block access to Northern Team AI. we might not have a route to them from the Shakagawa ocean and WestPort.

Liz was researching Banking (4) turns before I stole feudalism for just under 200 espionage

So should I upgrade Argo to caravel now? WE have 484 gold and can easily run at 100% research. Of course I can build research and accelerate Guilds/Banking with that 50 gold the upgrade costs.
Traveler is 4 turns away from scouting the same area that Argo could scout... so probably not still

No, keep your money. Banking the fastest possible.

Probably best to just accelerate our tech rate. Every turn sooner that we get banking is a turn sooner we can get open borders with the Team_AI before something goes wrong in a world full of Gawas.

T136 Shaka has entered WHEOOHRN we are the likely target
There is no access to the northern Team AI from WestPort's ocean :( unless it is in the far NE of that ocean where there is a bit of ice which seems impossible.
No DoW on us from Hatsegawa. No OB between Hatsegawa and Tokugawa.

Stupid Shaka! Did we declare on Liz again T135? I guess will we have to give away our northern coastal city too before he can grab it.

Maybe briefly pause your turnset for the team to comment some? That boat building outpost is rather close to Shaka's lands.

Okay uploaded for brief pause

Weird, that river coming down from the north AI should give us resource trade routes with them but it doesn't. I guess the ice between Hamma/Shaka and near Cyrus' lands are preventing it. There must be some kind of similiar setup with the southern AI also. Is it possible to setup the ice to block trade routes but still allow a caravel to reach their coastline? Can not unfogging a tile block possible trade routes too?

so give away WestPort? looks like it doesn't have access to the Team AI and Shaka could DoW at the end of this turn since he has a stack on WestPort's border.

The PPP that everyone agreed to states the plan for WestPort was to build a Galley to maybe upgrade to a Galleon if needed. That no longer looks useful and WestPort is now a liability that we should get rid of.

We just have to figure out who to give it to I think.

WestPort is history. Give it to someone. Bring the units home unless they're 0XP.

Kill the missionary and caravel from WestPort. Keep caravel if you really really want to explore that corner of blackness near Cyrus - but I can't imagine it being useful that close to the pole, with no culture visible on globe view. Start new missionary in SheepTown or CowTown.

The missionary near the Shaka border comes back and we plan to either disband it or bring it to our island.

DeerGold slightly better to run scientist rather than merchant because of the multipliers.

Neither Hammu nor Genghis have Feudalism yet, so we will not get them up to Banking until they do, and we can't help them do it.

Hmm, we could always gift that caravel to the North Team_AI on that crabs tile so they can start meeting the other Gawas. Not sure if that would be a good idea though.

Not sure how to reposition our missionary posture.

Bring units home? Aren't we going to need to send them all to the far north and look for a way to access the north ocean? At least the map is a donut and not the horseshoe I was expecting, so the East and West armies can get north before a war breaks out and borders close. Then join forces.

Don't kill the missionary, just send him with the army.

I'm concerned we won't finish this in time. I'm going to pray for random hindu spreads.
