I think I found it! And it's crazy. I figured it might be London and in London's approx location. So I looked about 25 tiles west of Moscow and a bit north and there is a green box.
Doesn't this mean Churchill will be crushed by distance maintenance? He won't have SProp....or will he? Is that the tech the English have? Communism.
It's a race to Kremlin! I bet he has stone.
Makes sense that England would also have India. Yep. Very earth-like.
Odd that we're not racing to Kremlin against Russia, but I think it's impossible for them to have Communism.

Wow, massive undertaking. Don't kill yourself trying. I'm counting about 45x60 so I don't think we're seeing the whole map, but if you were perfect, then it looks like Churchill's capital is far away and we may have access to these AIs despite being overseas.

Are you playing with or without full screen? I'm away from my laptop right now, but that was one thing that came to mind - I have it turned off. Maybe I can't see the whole map because of it.

In any case, we'll immediately know if they revolt to SP or Toku to Bureau, and so forth. I expect a bunch of revolts to HR and Slavery already. Will AIs revolt to multiple civics? They will, won't they?
Kremlin would end up in London. That's extremely far away, and I presume, on an island.
We'd be playing almost the whole game without Kremlin, or we burn a lot of energy trying to get it. I think having it before T40 is worth the effort. However, I agree that normally conquering a wonder is best. Maybe we'll find a quick way to get London. We'll see if Churchill even starts it or if he has stone. It may be as simple as distracting Churchill so Roosevelt can build it before him, right next to us

I did some testing, and it looks like the bomber recon mission reveals an 11x11 tile square centred on the recon mission tile. This can be performed on any tile in the mega-BFC that is visible when the recon mission is selected.
It seems to me that the most efficient recon pattern is 4 consecutive recon missions from one base: 5N5E, 6S5E, 6S6W, 5N6W. This reveals 22x22 tiles exactly, centred on the tile 1S1W of the base. If we can rebase to a city that is exactly 22 tiles west of the first base, we can rinse a repeat for 4t and reveal another 22x22. That is 44x22 tiles revealed in 9t.

I don't get it. I can't go 25w of Moscow, only about 22.
Edit: nvm. Got it. I had to change my field of view.
Yea, Istanbul is 22 tiles away.
But maybe wait and see where all the other cities are. We may want to recon farther north and south. Could be something important hiding in the arctic. With the pattern you laid out, we easily get 22, 44 and then 66 tiles east-west. But recon of north and south could get left out.
Ok, so Berlin and Rome are exactly where you would expect. Stalin's second city is Mongolia, located 6N2E from Yan'an. Can't find Roosevelt's capital. Any ideas? I was looking around where Philippines and Hawaii might be, to no avail.

Isn't a gspy unkillable? Barbs can't touch it, right? It can explore Japan, etc. with closed borders (as if we need that with our bomber)
