Share your vote experience!!

I'll be voting for my fist time fairly shortly. I'm excited, will update shortly, probably with pictures. None of you would squeal on me, correct?

Steady now. Take a deep breath, relax, try not to complete the paper too quickly.

Congratulations, Citizen! :goodjob: Vote your conscience and stand proud for doing your duty. May this lead to a long and rewarding life of voting for you!

Why on earth is that illegal?

I wouldn't even think of doing anything about it if you did post pictures, but I'm not sure you should, they can probably trace it if they want to.

I don't see how voting for either of the main two this year could be described as "Exciting":mischief:

Ah, well...

Thanks to Oregon's awesome vote-by-mail system I was able to vote last week without the hassle of having to go to a voting booth. Got the ballot about a month ago, filled it out at home while drinking a beer and dropped it off in a ballot box.

I really don't see why this hasn't become a national thing.

The reasoning, I think, is that with pictures you could take them to someone and show that "yes, I voted as I promised, now give me my money you promised for doing so."

I went to the polling place at about 11:30 expecting a line and the place was virtually empty. I filled out my ballot (a scantron-type form similar to the one that VRWCAgent posted above), turned it in, and chatted with the poll workers for a little while.

Granted, I live in the state that is farthest from being a swing state (except for DC, and that's not a state), but I would have expected some people showing up to vote...

My voting location was moved to the local library. I was surprised to see only a short line so I wen't in, told them my street name and presented my driver's license and voted. I mainly voted on the Democratic line.

And the voting fraud starts in my own back yard Chicago 1st ward 35 precinct. I get there at 9am, and they were already throwing away a ton of votes.

Crezth, are u really in ohio? Did you really that happen? I can never read you

I'm being dead serious, though I understand my reputation may preclude that conclusion from some of you. :(

Dude, that is just freaking awfull. Glad they got kicked out of the state.

Oh, and I told a Republican friend about it today in class. He goes:

I don't really see what's wrong with it. They should all have valid ID's to vote anyway. I don't know why it's an issue for some people that we thoroughly check that everyone is properly registered and have ID. There is so much voter fraud it's rediculous. That's how democrats win election, it's all fraud man.

I couldn't break his jaw because I was too busy picking mine up off the ground.

Why are all your ballots so short? In addition to Dems, GOP, Green, Lib, and Virgil mine was full of random parties. Socialism and Liberation, Socialist Workers, hell I think Rent is Too Damn High might have been there, and there was a couple other generic one's I don't remember.

I voted back in September, yay absurdly early voting in Iowa!

Voted at the Local Library, and the wait was 30 minutes or so. Only issue that popped up was a registration mix-up where it said I registered in the county that contains Iowa State rather that Johnson county, which has the University of Iowa. I just registered again and went on my merry way to vote.

Voted for:
B'rock "the Islamic Shock" Obama
The Democratic Rep who's name escapes me
And something about expanding the prison in the county to hold more people
