We propose moving forward with the parts of the agreement that are satisfactory to Lithuania, which, as we understand it, is everything except the exchange of the three cities between Russia and Lithuania.

While Russia does not seek hostilities with Lithuania, as we have shown by proposing a compromise that would eliminate any need for hostilities at all in the future, we cannot agree to a royal marriage or an alliance for as long as the two Russian cities are ruled by the Grand Duke.

We still hope that the Grand Duke will agree to our proposed exchange of cities. Not only will this allow us to bring the two countries closer through trade and support for each other, but Russia is willing to compensate the Grand Duke for the loss in a reasonable amount, as long as the Grand Duke is willing to specify what he wishes as compensation.

Perhaps we will be more willing in the future...and please, its Poland-Lithuania.

OOC: As an Economist I would like to point out the incredible absurdity of "trade with anyone." Just because you have free trade agreements doesn't mean your people have more money to spend, so the more trade agreements you have the smaller the benefit to each individual trade partner of yours.
