SheepNES: The Dragon is Awake: MAIN THREAD

MOD ANOUNCEMENT

As I have had this question a few times now about technology levels, technology is at 1530 levels. If you can prove that you had a certain tech in 1530 then you have.

For the American nations they have early blackpowder weapons and are about 50 years behind Europe after a century of Chinese contact. The Africans along the coastline and Songhai also have these weapons and are only scarecely behind Europe. The inland Africans are pre-blackpowder and about 150 years behind Europe.

This should answer any questions about what technology you current possess. Also be aware that when you discover technologies its only a matter of time for that technology to dissemniate to everyone else, and that from time to time a great inventor may invent a technology for a nation or a region.

Sheep posted this some time ago. I believe that Asia and Europe are similar technologically.

Sorry mate these lands are too sparsely populated for any rebellion to be successful not to mention it is still only 1530 so any rebellions would be about another while before they would get to the point that they would boil over.

But never fear as there over 20 NPC nations for you to choose from you should have no problem in finding something that interests.

Or you can just wait until after the first scheduled BT which will take us through the Revelutionary War period.

I will wait then.

We are glad to hear that you will ratify the NATO treaty in securing our colonies in the Northern America. Seeing as how we work well in good will for us all, I propose, yet another, an organization in response to an education perspective. We all, do believe that education is crucial in our respective nations, and it will be a much help for us all if we were to create an organization to success each others in scholarly measures. We therefore, propose to create International Baccalaureate program, where our scholars will have complete and free access to each member nations' universities, libraries, research institutes, etc. (of course, military secrets, confidential informations will be safe from intrusion) without having to follow every menial procedures as would require ordinary scholars, for educational purposes only. We may start small, four nations, but we hope to extend this program to any nations who wish to join.

International Baccalaureate Scholar Program

Article I

Section 1: Any nations who wish to participate may join with general consent from the existing members.

Section 2: Any nations, under unbecoming behaviours, may be subjected for removal with a vote within the congress of participating nations.

Article II

Section 1: There shall be limited number of scholars designated by the chiefs of the nations, quoted varyingly.

Section 2: These scholars will have complete and free access to any unconfidential educational resources including, but not limited to: libraries, courses, facilities, seminars, and forums, anything unless prohibited from disclosure by the chiefs of the nations.

Article III

Mod Announcement

PLEASE TAKE CAREFUL NOTE OF THIS

THIS IS THE SIXTEENTH CENTURY

Please remember this and try and go for bilateral treaties or at the most trilateral ones. This NATO and Educational thing and all that is somewhat too AHEAD of their time..... Alliances of this nature is likely to cause more problems then not just because they are not in nature. I wont disallow them I will just cause problems, lots of em.

Why are they too ahead of time? It's just group of nations trying to work together for same cause. Besides, they're not even the same things, just the names.

The International Baccalaureate program is too hard for me to implement, does not have a way to implement given the rules and wasnt established in RL til way after the 1500s.

As for NATO, yes there were similiar agreements in this time period, however they were on a bilateral status they were not multi-national agreements.

So there is no unrealistic sides to them while perfectly valid. Rules can always change if it works out for the better.

The International Baccalaureate program is too hard for me to implement, does not have a way to implement given the rules and wasnt established in RL til way after the 1500s.

And it outrages me and offends my sensibilities. If you create it I will wage eternal Jihad on you.

No, its the sixteenth century.... People just dont trust each other enough for it to work.... Stop asking or trying to get it to fly.... Maybe once we get to the Industrial Age when this type of alliance began appearing, not now!
