To the Safavids of PersiaTo the Empires of the Mughals and Japan:
From the Safavids of Persia:
While we do not protest at your invasion of the Chinese, we must ask why you thought to attack and conquer what could have most likely been an ally with us against the Europeans.
You can't move large numbers of troops across oceans in 1540. It would not be possible for Japan to invade S. America or Australia. The Ming wouldn't have dared. They have too much to lose by attacking us. But we see your wisdom.
EDIT: OOC: Anyone else find it amusing that there are 44 divisions in Chinese colonies altogether just wasting away while China is conquered?
That is because you can't send armies accross the ocean. Chinese regiments in America would have to be recruited and trained there and are essentially restricted to operating in their region. In 1530 there was no way to transport 15,000 troops (or even 1,000) across oceans. Getting a ship with a crew of 75 to survive an ocean crossing was was tough enough. No, what I'm saying is that I'm surprised that China hasn't recalled its troops yet.

To Safavid Empire
From Mughal Empire
We took the nessecary action to ensure that the greatest threat to our region was removed. The perfidious Ming were arrogant, and had dreams of domination of all Asians including the Indians, and yourselves. Perhaps you would be willing to bow before the throne of the vile Ming but the Mughals are a proud people, and we would not kow tow to their likes. We have freed the oppressed people who have long suffered under the Ming yoke.
Is that an insult? We do not want any misunderstandings here. We simply wanted you to state your reasons, in a neutral tone, without your scorn.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention the treasure ships of Zheng He. If the Ming were building and sailing 400' 8-masted junks, it would be a different story. But so far in this game, there has been no mention of those.Oh, now I understand.
Yes, this game is a bit inconsistent at times, but then again, most are. In game terms, if the Ming were still using such ships, then after 100 years, so would everyone else in Asia.OOC: Except for the Alternate History Part... Zheng He vassalized and colonized the americas.![]()
