The arrogant Ming have no tolerance for what they do not control. The once shackled people of their vassal states can now rejoice. If not for the brave Mughals who stand between you and the Ming, your nation would be swept away and you yourself would have been brought to bow before the throne of the Yellow Emperor.
You speak of Europeans as if they are a threat to us. We have seen few and they pose no threat. They are many thousands of leagues across the world and not a concern.
You can't move large numbers of troops across oceans in 1540. It would not be possible for Japan to invade S. America or Australia.
That is because you can't send armies accross the ocean. Chinese regiments in America would have to be recruited and trained there and are essentially restricted to operating in their region. In 1530 there was no way to transport 15,000 troops (or even 1,000) across oceans. Getting a ship with a crew of 75 to survive an ocean crossing was was tough enough.

The perfidious Ming were arrogant, and had dreams of domination of all Asians including the Indians, and yourselves. Perhaps you would be willing to bow before the throne of the vile Ming but the Mughals are a proud people, and we would not kow tow to their likes. We have freed the oppressed people who have long suffered under the Ming yoke.

Is that an insult? We do not want any misunderstandings here. We simply wanted you to state your reasons, in a neutral tone, without your scorn.
OOC: That would not be very IC. Diplomacy of this sort should be inherently ambiguous and mischievious.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention the treasure ships of Zheng He. If the Ming were building and sailing 400' 8-masted junks, it would be a different story. But so far in this game, there has been no mention of those.

I thought they were 12 mast 500'. But you know, history textbooks are annoyingly wrong at times.
EDIT: Wait, know I found it: Pg. 382, prentice hall, World History, Ellis. Over 400', and up to 12 masts.
EDIT2: But wiki says the largest was only 8 masts, and 12 masts is too wasteful economically. You're right, BJ.

Seriously guys try and keep the out of character on this thread to a mimimum, this is here for diplomacy, updates and stories (which funnily enough is what the 'S' stands for in NES)
