Should nudity in public be allowed?

if i must i guess i can accomodate that instead...

of course it should.

heres an experiment for all of you, hang out at your house (by yourself if you cant do it with others around and still be comfortable) for a lenght of time, say more than 5-6 hours.

after that time you will feel very natural about it, not weird or vulnerable as you would usually, you feel like you could be nude all the time everywhere, and its no big deal.

what is this talk about kids seeing naked bodies? why would that be harmful?

theres absolutely no reason someones body should be psychologically damaging to a child.

The reason it's forbiden is quite obvious to me and would be to everybody very soon if it was allowed... Nudity is not always fortunate.

Nudity in public should be made mandatory for hot girls between 18 and 40 years included (controls should be done) and forbidden for every one else

I think the only problem with widespread nudity is the lack of mystery that this would bring. Hundreds of magazines and websites would go bust, you'd stop getting aroused just by the thought or sight of nudity as it would be commonplace. Covering up is sexy - it leaves the mystery and possibility of whats underneath intact.

Naturally, only hot chicks should be allowed.

BTW - It's refreshing to see a nude craze at OT instead of the same old gay and Jesus threads. :)

tis a nice change indeed...odd the babe thread isnt getting a hammering tho...

No, it could lead to a lot of unfortunate situations. It wouldn't be appropriate working in a steel foundry or shipyard. There are also issues of wallets, cigarette packets, keys and such paraphenalia.

In seriousness, no. It is not appropriate that people should be exposed to such things (literally) when it is not their choice. If people want to be nudists, there are camps, their own homes and beaches for them. They do not have to push it in the face of the rest of the population, as I wager there would not be an awful lot of takers.

In an uncontrolled environment, unlike the aforesaid nudist facilities or a strip club, there is the potential for troubles, exploitation and endless complications. It puts a new slant on the privacy issue.

It brings nothing to society. It does not contribute in a positive manner. It does not help development. All it does is cater to the fantasies or basically rather abnormal desires of a limited group.

In the general public sphere, there is no place for it. Within people's own homes, or within clubs or facilities of voluntary membership and participation, no problem. It keeps it to those who are interested in that type of thing, and leaves everyday life to those who really aren't interested.

Should the government remove all laws governing exposure of one's body in a public place? Frankly i beleive that if people want to go around the place stark naked it should be acceptable

Yeah i know they will have the usual crap arguments that children will be affected and stuff but i beleive the sooner kids know about sexuality the better

I don't have a problem with public nudity, but it has to be regulated somehow. If you want to go naked in a park, beach, or swimming pool, that's ok, because those are intended for leisure activities anyway. However, nudity in places that are clearly not intended for such cannot be tolerated. You cannot just walk the streets naked.

Especially in the case of morbidly obese people.

 Naked is evil. Nude is bad.

People should be allowed to be naked anywhere at any time. If you dont like it don't look.

I can't see any reason to totally restructure our society so that people can go around without clothes.

In fact, at least in Spain, nudism is TOTALLY LEGAL IN ANY PUBLIC PLACE can be beach, river, park or street.

The thing is, we've been used to a society where nudity is something that turns people on, so it would be very hard (pun not intended) to go back to having people walking around in the nude, unless you were used to it already. Imagine all the men out there all of a sudden needing to find a place to sit... In short, it wouldn't work.

No it should not be allowed. Even for hot chicks.

Nudity can be allowed in controlled environements (beaches, stip clubs, home ect....) but everyday nudity whenever wherever is not a great idea.

Even the cavemen wore clothes ..... why should that change now?

Quite the contrary, I don't think it'll last long, though. The overexposure will soon kill everything sexy about the human body.
