Of course you are. Your saying that most under 21s don't know whats best for themselves, that you basically know better. Basically, your saying they don't have the mental capabilities to evaluate all the positives and negative to a situation. Sounds like disrespect to me.
Especially considering that this would be a blanket generalisation, and would absolutely ignore all individual varation.
A helping hand would be nicely telling people the pros and cons of the situation. A controlling hand would be dictating to people what they can and cant do.
