Ive been considering throwing a random lyric in my sig. Good idea?

Don't suggest any to me -- Ive got a bunch lined up

But someone programming this computer, and use it for counting, and then it means computer is important too :D

Also, has anyone notice links to Youtube videos in my sig in the past few weeks?

Actually I did, I accidentally clicked on the Christmas tree in your sig like a week ago and got treated to a nice Charlie Brown video :goodjob:

Though I can't see the current one, apparently it's unavailable in my country. :undecide:

Now I not know if someone answered on my post, but thank you for fast action :) Also you have nice signature.

I figured it was time to enlighten some of you on Sith Philosophy.

Now I think we could discuss that Poland is in Central Europe in this thread without off-topic, as I added last line to my signature :D But maybe I better not provoke huge off-topic again :) BTW. I was fan of Star wars as Child, but it is bit boring, even Matrix is better ;)

Not in eastern europe tho.

Thats why I think Heretic_Cata mean about last presidential election in Belarus now. Well, they really can count votes right ;)

Hello, my name is DroopyTofu, and I am new to the Signature Discussion Thread. I have a signature, which includes a link to an old Civ IV story I wrote, some of my favorite smileys that I never get a chance to use, and my ranking on the forums by my postcount, which I update every week or so. It also has a dancing banana. That is what is in my signature. Thank you very much. :sits down:

But the vote counter is a computer (in developed countries). :borg:
Erm...no, they aren't.
Your are confusing "developed" with "people don't care one bit" *.

*(making it impossible to have any fast and properly controlled counting process based on the work of volunteers)

So they count the electronic votes manually? Seems like a waste not to automate those too. I can see manual counting for punch cards and paper ballots.

To counter how much persons you ignored on the forums.

I changed the second quote in my signature

I've no idea how they do it in Poland. :)

Here people would be appalled by the very idea of an electronic vote in the first place. We usually count roughly 45 million old-fashioned paper votes by hand. In one night. Polls close at 6. There's a preliminary result before midnight and an official result in the morning. That includes all kinds of checks, reviews and whatnot.
Of course, all of that causes an excessive ammount of work, most of which is done by an army of volunteers (cross reviewing each other etc.).
I was under the impression that that was the "normal" way to have an election in most of continental Europe (which (arguably) may exclude it from "the developed world").

Voting on a sunday also is - apparently - a hallmark of 19th century backwater places, totally impractical and uncivilised.

I guess... :mischief:

I wonder why to count votes at all if they mostly match in 90% exit polls

Also nice sig metatron.
