This is my first unit ever.

It's a spinning charged singularity under the control of powerfull magnetic fields. I recommend an attack of like 1000. If the controlling magnetic fields are disrupted, the singularity is designed with a second "safety" field of antigravity, causing it to eject itself away from all material objects rather than sink to the center of the earth and suck up all the molten metal until it floats in the center of a huge and fragile cavern of flash frozen mantle.

This repulsion happens at the speed of light, so there's no need for a death animation.

You can't SEE a singularity, light can't escape from it.

But seriously, how are previews done? I'll need to know once I start making real units.

I took the liberty of making a preview:

It seems rather ... odd. This is the only animation provided; some sort of attack, or what?

In some direction that animation seems to have some transparency issues - a red line appears in the right side of the image.

I myself wondered too, what is the purpose of this animation. :hmm:

Tholish...I actually kind of like the idea. Similar to a black hole(actually, a black hole IS an example of a singularity)...but what would be the required tech I wonder? Just to make it interesting, let's say Bronze Working to make it available to the Ancient Age. ;)

Actually, current theory is that you can see a singularity (of black hole size, anyway) or rather its "silhouette", as photons which don't quite get caught by the event horizon can be detected as they scatter away.

Gravity Control, availible in the 7th age(FAR Far Future), with Physics Obsolete as a prequistisite.
