SKNES II: The Bonaparte Legacy

From: Empire of Brazil
To: Ecuador
CC: Argentina, Peru-Bolivia, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia

It is within the power of the Ecuadorian people to freely elect tyrants, we suppose, given we are supporters of the democratic process. However, it is outside the power of those tyrants to inflict violence and despotism on the free people of Ecuador ignorant to their plight as they may be. On behalf of the free people of South America we demand that the Ecuadorian government cease its illegal repression and murder of its citizens, and release all political prisoners taken as a result of the so-called "coup". We will not rest idly while the people of Ecuador are abused and mistreated by their government.

From: Empire of Brazil
To: The Legitimate Governments of Mexico and South Africa

We view your plight as our own. Tell us how we can be of assistance to you in defending your freedoms and your sovereignty and we shall do our utmost to aid your cause. There are only two choices in life, liberty or death.

I am singularly impressed with the regularity and quality of these updates. :goodjob:

You have allies? Good joke. The British won't help you. No one else even knows you exist.

EDIT: Except the Brazilians. But they won't and can't help you regardless.

To: The USSA

Aww. We don't get a congratulations? Thanks.

From the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
To the World

We congratulate the people of Mexico and Transvaal-Botswana in throwing off the chains of their oppressors. We will render any and all aid possible to the revolutionary governments so as to safeguard the rights of their people.

To the Kingdom of Romania

The Soviet Union offers to negotiate between the government and the People of Romania to find a non-violent solution.

To the People's Republic of Greece

Get your act together.

From: Austria
CC: German Empire, Poland

I will agree to this referendum as long as it is for the whole of the High German peoples in Bohemia-Moravia, and doesn't divide them. Let there be one referendum, for the entirety of the High German people in Bohemia-Moravia.
This map I have brought with me shows the areas of High German majority in Bohemia-Moravia.

I propose a second referendum for the Polish in the North East of Bohemia-Moravia, So that they can rejoin Poland.

Edit: Added Polish
Edit 2: Placed Prague on the map

You have attacked our troops at El Paso, this alone gives Dixie reason enough to invade and lay waste to Northern Mexico and see every Red supporter at the end of a long pike, but unfortunately the General in charge was ineffective in command and has been fired.
So, enjoy your hollow victory for you will not get away with it a second time.

To the Empire of Mexico
From the CSA

Our offer of assistance still stands, you know the forces the Democratic Nations of the World can bring to bear, you have seen our victories in Portugal, not to mention eliminating the very people threatening to tear apart your country in Haiti and South America. If they can do it, you can. Do not hesitate to ask for help.

To Corea
From the CSA

We congratulate you on reaching whatever location that is. Frankly we see no reason why a country needs a base in such a inhospitable location, nonetheless congratulations.

Excellent update SK! :) These are great, and this is going to get good.

Only stats corrections i can find is that the stuff from the retransfer of Calais didn't end up in the stats - I should have 256EP and only 8% dissent. EDIT: also the land forces in portugal haven't been added back to the stats proper.

Long winded diplomacy post upcoming.

To: Germany
From: France

Get your communists in line. Your total inability to control your communist factions is an embarrassment and proof of the inability of democracy to defend itself.

To: Croatia
From: France

We welcome your coming into proper government. We are still debating your inclusion into the Paris-Rome axis, but your turn to fascism is always welcome.

To: The True Government of the Empire of Mexico
From: France

We urge you to resist the socialists. Fight! Fight tyranny and install proper government across your nation. The communists of the north and the plutocrats of the Yucatan cannot be allowed to destroy your nation!

To: the World
From: France
re: South Africa

See guys, this is what happens when you give the African apes a state.

To Scandinavia
From the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics

Your friends in the CSA would see you go to war to support the tyrants in Mexico. Is this a position your government supports? Scandinavia gains nothing by remaining within the League of "Democratic" Nations, and only hurts its reputation and long-term security by collaborating with fascists and imperialists.

Lord of Elves: Thank you! :)

Grandkhan: Fixed.

Lokki: I haven't updated that section yet :p

NPCs will respond to diplomacy shortly.

To: Empire of Mexico, Yucatán
From: Spain
Re: Yucatán Succession

The Government and people of Spain hope and pray your nations may resolve this issue with the pen, and not the sword. So that peace and justice may be obtained by all. In the pursuit of this peace, the government of Spain would like to offer herself as a third party negotiator between your nations.

It's quite ironic the word you use to describe Mexico. Rest assured, your words are noted, and our foreign policy in this regard is QUITE clear, and we will follow it to the letter.

I believe Deusselkerr wanted the Mexican socialists, therefore I am not responding to their stuff.
I'm also holding off on replying to Chinese and Scandinavian stuff for a day or two as both - especially China - are among the most powerful nations in the game, and I'm assuming that they'll be wanted. (having a Chinese player in particular would be nice, but I'm not going to force anyone)

To: Brazil
From: Ecuador

We will not bow to Brazilian tyranny today, nor will we bow to Brazilian tyranny tomorrow. The "political prisoners" that you speak of were traitors who attempted to overthrow the rightfully elected president of the Ecuadorian people in the name of their own greed, and they will stay where they are, until they are judged fairly for their crimes by a jury of the Ecuadorian people.

To: Brazil
From: Mexican Empire

Thank you, we appreciate any support we can get, especially as the Yankee rabble are

To: Brazil
From: South Africa

We appreciate the support, simple funding should suffice for now, as we do not see how you will be able to transport manpower to South Africa.

To: Austria
From: Bohemia-Moravia

We are afraid that we will have to reject that offer. Our National Mapmaker's eyes have already begun bleeding profusely. We are willing to negotiate however, and call on Germany to help us.

To: The Confederate States
From: Mexican Empire

We accept your offer, we need all the help we can get to put down the rabble illegally occupying the north.

To: The Soviet Union

What would you suggest? We seek only to avoid our country from suffering the same fate as Mexico.

We appreciate the gesture.

We are a nation of Europeans who settled and tamed this land in centuries past. We are certainly not apes.

From: KwaZulu, Swaziland

We don't know who you are, but we do not take kindly to being called "apes."

From: Mexican Empire

We appreciate your suggestion, but frankly Yucatan is the last of our problems right now.

To: Spain
From: Yucatan

Such an arrangement is acceptable to us.

To: The Ottoman Empire

In light of the upcoming plebiscite, perhaps it would be useful to outline the exact territory where the decision is to take place.
