So I Drunk A Bud

That....doesn't sound like something I would like

I love stouts that has a hint of liquorice to their malty flavours. And I've often thought that if only that nice liquorice flavour was a little stronger. Apparently others has thought of it too and decided to cut the middleman and just added pure liquorice to the brewing process. I can't imagine the result being anything other than delicious.

Plain Budweiser is the absolute bottom of my list when it comes to the big brands. But I've become a little bit of a beer snob in my old age though, so I almost never drink the big names Coors, Corona, Heineken etc. Most of what I drink nowadays tends to be hoity toity IPAs, micro-brews, seasonals, fancy shandys and fruity beers. But back when I was drinking alot of regular beer I'd rather have Miller, or Bud Ice or even Bud Lite than regular Bud. Frankly I'd rather have Beast or Natty Light than regular Bud.

Bud number 2 at my local Indian. Was drinking good Pilsner and APAs in the weekend and an average pilsner last night.

Brewed in USA and imported.

Very weak and watery by comparison, taste isn't to bad still. Quite a pale colour. Kinda enjoying it would pass the drink for free test idk if I would buy a dozen though vs better options.

Some if the ladies here like it over the APAs I was drinking on Saturday night. Birthday weekend.

Light as in low alcohol?
They were trying to cash in on the Diet Coke craze. It was meant as a 'diet' beer with less calories. It's not really any better for dieting that regular beer and the alcohol industry lobbied hard to keep nutritional and ingredient information off of beer labels to keep people from figuring that out.

I used to drink Bud light but have moved on to Dos Equis and Red Stripe. There is a local beer in St Louis founded by one of the Budweiser clan that I really like but I can't get it here and I have actually forgotten what it's called at the moment.

Right, it was even originally marketed as diet beer but sales were poor. Didn't take off until they switched diet to lite.

And now they use name like Ultra.

It's still better than our crap bear.

Rather than drink light beer, just drink less exercise more.

Here sales of of normal beer are way down and craft beer is going up.

In 90s you would probably buy an 18 or 24 pack and drink that, now a dozen good beers. 6 pack for smaller amount.

Michelob Ultra, even for my gutter palette, is a bridge too far.

White Claw, or if they don’t have them, I’ll settle for truly

I like the lime ones.

I finally did break down and try white claw on vacation. Did a beer run and my wife said she wanted something light so I grabbed a six pack. It was nice. I dumped a couple into my RTIC tumbler with some ice and just sipped. I'd still prefer a good hoppy beer but that wasn't bad.

And to think I thought you had good taste.
Thankfully I’ve grown out of that.

I’ll let you enjoy your good taste hangovers while I’ll have 11 drinks last night and with a 6 pound backpack walking six miles across Texas asphalt to my favorite coffee shop at peak heat and be perfectly fine ;)

Beat a hangover, drink a hard seltzer. :cowboy:

Those setlzer things it depends on the flavor. I had a truly mixed berry one and spat it out, then dumped the rest. God awful. The white claw lime one is good though. Really work well as mixers.

Having fun out in the sun leads to the desire to drink more beer, not less. So it can serve a purpose.

Or like social events that span hours so you would be completely hammered with higher abv. I guess you could drink one or two craft beers and switch to water.

Founders All Day IPA is pretty close to light lagers calorie-wise and doesn't taste like carbonated sugar water. Good way to get good beer without all the calories.

I don't drink that much so if u want to knock back a dozen I don't have to worry about calories. Would probably take me 3 or 4 days to drink unless I'm at a party or something's.

I dunno mang I actually don't get hangovers from the nice liquor I drink at home, it's when I go out to bars and perforce drink the swill they serve that I start feeling sick
