So why was CFC down (on and off) the last 3 days?

Three outages during lunch EST?! This is getting very redicilous.

 

This has gotten so bad that even the people saying "Go do something else in the meantime" are getting annoyed.

No tech issue should be around for several weeks, let alone months.

 

While not white pages, the ofrums and main site always keep telling me it's "Busy, Check on later" which is getting annoying, since I'm seeing a lot of it lately.

 

Ten-Twenty Minutes down time each half hour, This is getting beyond ridiculous!!!!

 

It feels like it's been down more than its been up today.

 

Is CFC downtime from DoS attacks or just from being too popular?

 

This is getting just ridiculous. There is a thread in the Civ4 S&T SG now "INB4 Server Crash". It shouldn't be this bad. I feel like TF just doesn't care.

 

mmhh...it seems it's not really a server problem, but rather something with the vbulletin software.
Because I just made some changes in the Modiki, which is on the same server like the forums, and did that while it said "too busy". So it's not the server which is too busy...not that this helps in any way, but it explains why the hosts can't see anything.

 

does this site have anyone that can actually address this? mods are good and all but i dont know if this is in their job description. sounds like a dev or admin needs to see what's what.

Can't they adjust the server load limit or something? This is getting out of hand. It's getting so bad that posting and/or browsing is virtually impossible without a bit of luck to get into a stable slot.

Are TF and his admins looking into this?

 

Yeah the expansion hasn't really made much of a noticeable effect.

Thankfully every other website with the same news is up and running just fine so you can just go there instead.

 

I particularly like how the ads have no trouble loading when the server is too busy.

 

Finally. This is starting to get a little worrisome when I look back on another site that had these troubles.

 

I remember with the server trouble issues they turned off alphabetization of the users online.
