For me it depends on location. At home I will put on my socks first followed by my shoes. But if I am in a sports changing room, where the cleanliness of the floor is doubtful, then I will sock and shoe each foot in turn.

ditto.

and I can sleep w/ or w/o my socks

We do not wear shoes in the house and keep the shoes in a shoe box near the front door. Hence putting on one sock and one shoe and then the other sock and shoe is not an option.

First socks, then shoes.
As a sidenote people don't use shoes indoors in Sweden. Even in another persons home.

do people wear shoes indoor anywhere?

(I assume by indoors you mean in reasidential homes, you still where shoes at school and work right :mischief:)

Not always in either school or at work. This comes from the fact that Swedish shoes (the underside...) will be filled with slowly melting snow and gravel half the year. This is a great way to not make a mess everywhere you go.
People may use shoes indoors on fancy parties, but then it's common to bring special "indoors" shoes for the occasion.

Ya. I like sleeping with my socks on.

Does anyone else do that, BTW.

Only durring the winter when I wear clothes to bed.

I can't sleep with socks on. Having my feet bound in those tiny prisons makes it impossible to get comfortable.

Both socks, then both shoes

In spite of living in a country where we have winter for half the year, I hate wearing socks. I only put them on when I'm leaving the house, and in that case I completely dress one foot before doing the other.
