Princess Luna had been making war plans all her life. She had, in her past, contrived every sort of plan; from the subtlest of military intricacies to the blatant head-on style tactics, and throughout all of it one thing had been made apparent: You can still win a gun fight with a knife.
It had been laid down in the New Lunar Republic constitution that the use of WMDs was immoral and should not be partaken by the state under any circumstances, no mater what the enemy nor how desperate a situation. Luna and her army would stick to conventional weapons. It was only he decent thing to do. She could not, however, say that her enemies thought the same. The Brazilians were known for their tyranny and oppression and she had no doubt that if they were able to they would attack the Republic with all the weapons in their arsenal. Luna didn't know what that arsenal contained but she imagined that whatever it was it wasn't very honorable.
So she had devised a plan. It wasn't complicated or intricate but it would rely on the New Lunar Navy quickly taking control of the city of Curitiba. The reason being that this city was the most prosperous city in the south of Brazil and also held a key position in Brazil's military chain of command (or so the intelligence suggested) and it was also home to a large military base of operations.
The plan was simple: There would be 6 Task forces, each with its own objectives but with a central goal. The overall aim would be to asses and neutralise Brazil's WMD capacity each Task Force had certain goals to take out key military bases.
The Task Forces are as follows:
- Army Group Dash

2 Special Forces Units
Objective: The Initial objective of Army Group Dash will be to secure the Brazilian Military base that is reported to be the second furthest large base south. Secondly the group will consolidate towards the coast and secure the coastal cities and the Naval facilities.
- Army Group Macintosh
10 Infantry
3 Armour
2 Cavalry
Objective: This army group will have the sole objective of pacifying the southernmost regions of Brazil. Starting First with the military facilities then on to the coastal cities.
- Army Group Pinkie
17 Special Operational Groups
Objective: Army Group Pinkie will be formed of the elites of the New Lunar Republic and will comprise mostly of troops used to carrying out Commando and Guerrilla missions during the Second Lunar War when they were fighting the Solar Empire. Here these experienced troops will be sent against the bulk of Amazonian Brazil with objectives to disrupt and harass enemy troop movements with the eventual objective of taking the Amazonian basin and cutting off the Brazilians from the resources contained there.

Objectives: Army Group Octavia will be tasked with engaging and suppressing the Brazilians in their core regions thus a significant detachment of Octavia will be comprised of the Equestrian Royal Guard - the best drilled, trained and equipped units of the army, their skill in combat second only to the Spec. Ops. Groups of Pinkie. They will have to negotiate the territory around Curitiba and the Brazilian capital making their job one of the hardest.

Objective: Army Group Applejack will operate a mopping up strategy between Octavia, Dash and Luna. It will try and ensure that no enemies remain behind our lines to cut off the other groups' supply lines.

Objective: Army Group Luna will be sent to take and hold Curitiba from enemy resistance. The Army will be accompanied by Princess Luna in person to lead from the front lines.
