Sons of Mars III - Trollish Echidnas Not Included

@ One Vision:

Ah, but it was a T1 biobomb... a minor setback.

Picture what a T5 could do to the world economy, undermining big and small players alike...

It was also the most profitable choice they could make in a one-turn move.

@ Christos:

You, Germany and One Vision, having all been belligerents with France, are unable to claim this turn, but you can all resume claiming next turn.

Also, is your civil war purely for RP, are you intending to have it affect gameplay?

@ Red_Spy:

Since my VMs aren't working - yes you can start a civil war without it affecting gameplay.

@ CivG:

Rome was questionably sane, as most nations on the verge of defeat tend to be. It bombed you because you were friends with France, even if you weren't invested in the war yourself...

@ Kinich-Ahau:

@ Tyo:

Soon ma boy, soon!

Roman refugees are still welcome to settle in Australia. They won't be punished for the sins of their government.

You, Germany and One Vision, having all been belligerents with France, are unable to claim this turn, but you can all resume claiming next turn.
For sakes of convenience. Can the claim be carried over to the next turn?

Rome was questionably sane, as most nations on the verge of defeat tend to be. It bombed you because you were friends with France, even if you weren't invested in the war yourself...
Though I am surprised that the Nassau Super Battleship was able to fend off the insane Roman fleet.

Also, is your civil war purely for RP, are you intending to have it affect gameplay?

Its mainly RP but i wouldnt have any problem if you spawed some commies rebels to make it more realistic.

I was making a joke. Its only for RP.

Meanwhile, in the Mediterranean, Rome's fleets are given one last order - to sew as much havoc as possible. Why waste good bombardment...

...when they could attack the German fleet. The Germans, allies of the French, are the enemy by proxy!

2 9

Of course, the Romans lose both fleets.

No worries CivG - Claims will be carried over into the next turn.

Meanwhile, peaceful major powers gloat.

Also, I do wonder what it'd've been like if the Romans had won...

"First, drop the "God's Wrath"[Chemical Weapon] And "God's Judgement"[PB] on designated targets[last map] before any of our troops get there."

Persia also invests in Army 4. 10 planes, meanwhile, are built, forming the Royal Air Force.

After the bombs go off, lay down a carpet bomb using all air forces on top of enemy positions.

The Jerusalem Air Force is devestated. Persia is left with a small air force, ready to strike if necessary(though it would also be intercepted).

Last, send all available Battleships on a last-ditch effort to destroy the Persian navy. If by any chance they are victorious, and five survive, they are to bombard the coast.

Now, onto the last front of the war - Jerusalem is ready to try and avenge its defeats at sea.

Persia doesn't even bother building up its navy. 8 ships go agaisnt 12.

3-5. 3 of the defeats are very narrow, caused by Persia's superior army tech. Jerusalem is left vastly outnumbered. Fortunately, ships can still trade via the Mediterranean, so Jerusalem doesn't have to worry about being blockaded.

Once the bombings are complete, the army is up to counter-attack. The first objective is to take back all the lands of Jerusalem. Once accomplished, the true counter-attack begins

30 armies are raised. Jerusalem has 77 armies to Persia's humble 37. Will Jerusalem's luck improve?

All of Jerusalem's armies are exhausted. It now stands at 73 provinces and 34 armies. Persia stands at 1 province and 9 armies.

Persia does retake the provinces the rebels left defenseless.

Jerusalem looks like it could emerge the superpower of the world...

...provided no one says anything about that, anyway.

Okay, Persia. Both of our nations have lost enough men. My forces outnumber yours by almost three times, and effectively all you have left is your capital. You capital is full of innocent bystanders. It's time to end the bloodshed; Give up.

Jerusalem echos our previous demands: all Persian troops lay down arms and be escorted to your capital while our leaders decide your fates. All civilians will be escorted out in the meantime, but your government officials must stay in your King's palace.

Persia is flattered, but has good news - the show will go on.

From several donors not happy with the idea of a superpowered Jerusalem, it has received 28 + 9 + 27 + 4 gold. Or, 68 gold.

That is, enough to raise 13 armies.

Doesn't seem like much, does it...?

Of course, given the huge losses of the Battle of Persepolis, much of Jerusalem's territory is undefended; while they made sure to cover as much territory around Persepolis as possible to prevent a breakout, the flanks of the armies are uncovered.

Analysing the situation, Persia deduces that if it can eliminate 2 armies, it will be able to retake the Caucasus.

Spoiler USSR Politics :
USSR Election - Year 6

House of Representatives

Members serve four years. Half are up for grabs every 2 years. Years 2, 6, 10, etc. are elected by districts and allotted on population. Years 0, 4, 8, etc. are elected by nationwide PR. In total, there are 250 Representatives. All tax raises must originate in the House.

Senate

One Senator per province. 1/3 of the Senate is up for grabs every 2 years, with each Senator serving 6 years. The Senate approves treaties and confirms appointments. There are 50 Senators so far.

Presidency

The President controls foreign policy, the military, appoints the Chancellor and judges, and can veto laws. He serves 6 years and cannot serve consecutively. He is elected by preference voting popular vote.

Chancellory

The Chancellor is nominated by the House, confirmed by the President, and appoints all members of the Executive Branch.

Current composition of government:

Senate - 19 Democrats(Center-left Economically, Socially Moderate, Non-Interventionist), 17 Libertarians(Right-wing economically, socially liberal, non-interventionist), 13 Republicans(Centrist economically, socially moderate, interventionist), 1 Socialist(Far left economically, socially liberal, non-interventionist)

House - 122 Democrats, 62 Republicans, 60 Libertarians, 6 Independents

Presidency - Alexander Gates (Democrat)
Chancellor - Marcus Juarz (Libertarian)

Electoral results:

The Senate, with 17 seats up for grabs, saw a massive shift to the Republican camp, with 13 seats picked up. The Senate now stands at 12 Democrats, 11 Libertarians, 26 Republicans, and 1 Socialist.

The House saw a shift as well, with Republicans picking up 37 seats. The House now stands at 103 Democrats, 99 Republicans, 46 Libertarians, and 2 Independents.

Presidentially, the Republicans have seized the Presidency, with Calvin Rockefeller emerging victorious with 37% 1st choices and 21% other choices.

In a surprise move, however, Rockefeller caucused with the Democrats, blaming Libertarians' laissez-faire policies as having exacerbated the recession in the USSR. Ruling the House and Senate in a coalition government, he has seen to it that Democrat Richard Wells take the Chancellory.

Reform of social services is on the agenda, though the pragmatic Rockefeller has not ruled out investments in infrastructure to help boost an ailing economy.

Most dramatically, the USSR has begun looking outward. The President proclaims that while building up the economy is foremost, providing a strong appearance to the outside world is necessary, and as such, friends should be made. The once-mighty USSR, even though it has developed weapons for deterrence, has seen waning economic and military power in recent years... (Foreign policy changes to Opportunist)

So I bet anything that North America and South America will each soon be tearing eachother apart...

Meanwhile, Partitionania lols I imagine, because it's remained at peace the entire game and thus has never lost out on claims.

Assuming the world isn't torn apart by the result of a North American War, South American War, and the neverending Gulf War, however, I assume it will once the entire world begins colonising Africa.
