We ask for 1.2 infrastructure in payment as the average price for a city state is 8 this seems like a reasonable offer.

Noting that the lock won't happen until about Thursday or so... seems I'm staying over here longer than anticipated. :p

Orders lock at midnight, so 9 hours from now for me.

Finally back home.

Sorry, going to have to drop this.

Le orders are locked.

To simplify the update, all expansion combat is now in a single battle. Simply say how much territory you want (preferably with a map) and how many units are being sent against it.

5 Provinces - New American Expansion

15 Infantry, 5 Artillery vs. 5 Tank, 5 Infantry; 3 NPC infantry are killed, while 1 New American infantry is routed.

14 Infantry attack 5 Tanks and 2 Infantry. 3 provinces are taken.

29 provinces - Imperial Invasion of Caucasia

The Empire of Light sends its full force against the Caucasians.

In the ensuring artillery bombardment, 5 Caucasian infantry, 2 Destroyers, and 2 Fighters are slaughtered. Caucasian artillery kills 2 Imperial Infantry and 1 Imperial fighter.

Combat ensues.

24 provinces are occupied by the victorious Light forces. The Empire of Light loses 2 Infantry, 1 Destroyer, and 1 Fighter. Caucasia outright collapses in the wake of the defeat.

Submarine Attacks in the Pacific!

Japanese trading vessels have seen losses to submarine assaults; the merchant community beseeches the government to build more Destroyers. (-2 Infra)

1 Province – New England

A roflstomp ensues due to the sheer number of troops fielded by New England. (This was so one-sided I didn’t even bother to roll)

12 Provinces – Japanese Expansion

14 Tanks, 22 Infantry, 2 Carrier, 3 Artillery vs. 12 Tanks, 12 Infantry

5 minor Infantry are killed, while 1 Japanese Infantry is forced to retreat.

9 provinces are taken in the ensuing battle.

14 Provinces – Nice

42 Infantry, 4 Tanks, 7 Artillery, 1 Bomber, 16 Fighters, 2 Carriers, 2 Battleships, 2 Destroyers vs. 14 Infantry, 14 Tanks

In the artillery barrage, 10 Neutral Infantry are killed. 3 Nicean infantry is routed.

In the ensuing battle, Nice emerges triumphant in all regions, seizing 14 territories.

Empire of Light is triumphant in its second war. Truly, our armies are blessed by the all powerful Creator, the master, the leader, and the guardian of Light.

Mongola and Japan have, surprise surprise, had another dispute over territory in Asia.

Japan has also entered a dispute with Nice over territory in the Red Sea; Nice bribed some local leaders while Japan conquered others.

===

Lock shall be in 72 hours.

Minor provinces now cost 10 gold to bribe.

I believe we’ve purged all the inactives from the roster. 8 players now, much like a game of Diplomacy…

This should be fun.

We claim the remaining parts of South America. Any incursions are highly discouraged.

Japan. Mongola demands immediate withdrawal from all disputed provinces, or there will be war.

We hope to organise a diplomatic solution to the territory clash with Nice: we ensure that the Red Sea is a place we wish to have presence in for our economic purposes and that we can come to a honourable agreement.

While we would ask to have notion we observe how much of South America is currently unoccupied: Africa will be hence more suitable for Japanese expansion.

Have Mongolia seen our army? We are to maintain our rightful territories, especially as we remind you we have a defence pact with New England and could invite other powers into it; we have notions that one likely power you would call to war will not answer as honour to a past agreement. Hence forth we would suggest that warmongering against Japan would be... ill-advised, especially as we can produce the needed forces ready and, in combination with Australia, could overwhelm you by economic development. Yes it would take time but wars are rarely won in a day and I do not think you have the ability to overpass our infantry.

To this end: your navies may be strong but we have the ability to conduct a land war to secure Mongolia and defend Japan to the last soldier, so do not think your submarine armada will win the day, especially as you lack the carriers needed to launch a successful invasion of Japan.

In the end we appeal to our allies of Australia and New England, as well possible other powers and possible friends like Nice who may see Japan as a honourable rival than a dishonest enemy, to prepare for a call to arms if Mongolia decides to commit suicide by declaring war, for a war against Japan and her allies would be a slow death for the attacker, especially as our armies will fight to the last soul.

In the end we are keep our presence in the contest lands.

Japan, please stay out of Africa.

Good day.

Have Mongolia seen our army?

The army that will be annihilated before it can approach mine, because you have not invested in artillery and an air force properly?

Your troops won't do too well with the homeland being strangled. Your carriers will be sunk on the first day.

Anyways, Mongola hereby declares war on Japan and calls our allies of the Confederate States of America and the Empire of Light to the battle.
