Spl02: Noob-Party

war with Ethiopia is my vote. They even settled city B for us! although i think it'll be a bit harder then if we face sitting bull.

@Splime: iron is already hooked up and roaded at Xian, no need sailing.

Sorry, didn't notice. As you can tell, I didn't actually check the save yet... What's more, I was looking at an older screen... my bad.

So, our first target... If we want city B, target #1 should be Zara. If we want an easier war, then we should attack Sitting Bull. Basically, do we want a war for war's sake (weakening an enemy) or for our own direct gains (getting cities)?

If we "Gain" cities through war, our economy will be horrible. my vote is capture and raze, and only keep the important cities. (ie: Capital, wonder cities, city B, holy cities)

With either option we'll really need to get CoL. Both capitals are a good distance from ours and the maintence costs will kill us. Got to have courthouses and FP.

Still, if we look at things to gain, war with Ethiopia will get us more stuff, so CoL is a definite must on research. Next player (Kutzov) should work on military.

Also, he has et to post a "got-it", and it has been 24 hours... I'll give him more time, but it has been some time.

OK, looks like a skip...

Roster:
1. Splime
2. Quotey
3. GreyFox (just played)
4. Admiral Kutzov (skipped, on-deck - assuming he posts before TLO posts a report)
5. TheLastOne36 (up)
6. Morred
7. dawn

In other news, I was just playing a SP game that was doing well, until my economy went into the toilet, started to come back, and then Boudica sent her massive armies straight at me... :(

Morred, take your time, it won't hurt my feelings. Tuesday and Wednesday will not work for me as I'll be traveling up the East coast on business. My next day for gaming access will be Thursday.

Thought I had 24 hours to pick it up before before I get skipped? Grey Fox posted less than 24 hours ago unless I'm doing my math wrong? I'll play after the TheLastOne36

Crap, sorry, I messed up AM and PM... I thought it wasn't as much time. My bad, Admiral, you're still up. I'm an idiot...

Roster:
1. Splime (idiot)
2. Quotey
3. GreyFox (just played)
4. Admiral Kutzov (up)
5. TheLastOne36 (on-deck)
6. Morred
7. dawn

Dawn: Noted :)

Okay, so we're going with Ethiopia?
Can we trade for CoL?

Edit: Just a note, I'm pretty sure Ethiopia is Jewish so we're going to get negative relation modifiers with some of the other guys. It won't matter if we're taking most of the continent. Carry On!

sorry for the delay. yes, I understand I have eccentricities...

This post tells the story of AK, the idiot, who, on the 6th of January in the jungle of his home, hears a small speck of dust talking to him. It turns out the speck of dust is actually a board called "CFC", inhabited by electronic-sized inhabitants known as civ-vers.

The Civ-vers, allow AK (who, though he cannot see them, is able to read them quite well) to work to protect them from harm and to prepare them for war, to which AK happily obliges, proclaiming throughout that "an idiots's a person, no matter how idiotic". In doing so, AK has several multiple personality conversations in which he is ridiculed and forced into a cage by the other civ-vers believing in the 24 got it rule that they are unable to see or hear. His chief tormentor is Splime. AK tells Splime that he needs to express himself to the idiot, lest they end up as part of "beezlenut stew", which he accomplishs and AK posts a got it.

Yes, Virginia, I've probably had too much vodka tonight.

This will be a builder/economic recovery set.

Both Joao and Charley are +6 in their relations with us (pleased). I work the hill in G-zhou to speed up the temple. I switch the citizen on the wines to an existing cottage in Beijing. Whip the monument in Xian.

172 - finally rememeber to check the tech in the diplomacy screen. Sell MC to Charley for Monarchy and Sailing. Sell MC to Joao for Alpha and masonry. WFYBTA? Forgetta bout it. Nobody will want to trade once the wars start.

178 - Bull that sits asks for open borders. ok. Whip a spear in Shanghai.
179 - monkey wrench in Beijing.
182 - enemy spy steals Myst!

185 - AK done for now. Whip the temple in G-Zhou? Mine another hill there? Suggest we plan for war on Zara after we get some courts up. Next set should be more economic recovery. Don't be afraid to whip.

I like the random events, besides the slave result... but looks like a good set of turns. Recovery sounds good, along with building up the army. I assume we're still researching CoL? When's it due? (Can't check save atm)

Roster:
1. Splime (on-deck if Morred is done earlier than Thursday)
2. Quotey
3. GreyFox
4. Admiral Kutzov (just played)
5. TheLastOne36 (w/o civ PC for 3 days... I assume that means skip until Thursday)
6. Morred (up)
7. dawn (on-deck, unless Morred is done earlier than Thursday)

Note: For those of you who have to be skipped for a few days: Unless we've moved way down the roster from your position, you will still get your turn, it'll just be delayed down the order. (Similar to what I did.)

You probably should have revolted to HR during the revolt at Beijing.

Revolt to HR would still be good... do we have any pressing  issues at the moment?
