Splash, Splash, Splash: Pokemon Fire Red AAR

Chapter 11b: Now That's A Shocker!

I enter this Gym and immediately notice the large room full of trash cans. I don't understand this garbage.

So I walk over to ask a question of this man named TheLastJacobite and he demands I prove my worth before advancing.

So my Pikachu versus his Pikachu. One on one. His dies in a single slam from the all powerful Pikachu! My Pikachu wears a championship belt that he got from the Rock Solid Brother.

After hours of digging through the trash to find the switches to turn off the giant arcs of electricity that prevent anyone from entering the dojo of EQ. I finally make my approach to the electrifying one. He calls me out for being a weak, pathetic and infinitely powerless trainer. I cry a bit.

The battle begins with Pikachu taking on Voltorb and another Pikachu. Both are slammed into the ground by Pikachu's agility and strength in combination. Pikachu is a true champion. I know he is unbeatable.

Then comes the all powerful Raichu, the final, perfect stage of the Pikachu evolution line. As it turns out his supreme power can only be described as 1337. The battle begins with a show of speed as both Pikachu and Raichu run circles around each other causing both myself and EQ to lose track of their insane speed. Like cats on crack. Electrical power has little use in this battle so it becomes a nub fight with Raichu using his much higher strength to beat Pikachu into a bloody pulp. I have to get me one of them Raichu.

It's Gloom's turn but this stoner bastard can barely hold his own. He knocks Raichu out but EQ has plenty of remedies to keep Raichu awake and eventually Gloom is knocked out too. I fear this battle is lost as both Pidgeotto and Meowth fall to Raichu.

Beedrill makes his appearence and somehow manages to last long enough to bring down Raichu with poison stings. I...what? How did that happen? Well Raichu got cocky and was showing off.

EQ gives me the Thunderbadge as both of us stand in shock. How the hell did that just happen?

Beedrill is definitely a keeper.

Nice try, but your loser pokémon are still pitifully weak! I doubt you'll even make it to Celadon!

This story makes me regret not buying FireRed for 10 cents while I was in China.

It is still not too late my friend, join the cult by downloading the Visualboy advance emulator.
