DIPLOMACY
From FNA
To UFMT
We would like to know what is your stand on this current war. Are you at war against Phoenicia, are you on their side or are you staying neutral?

Oh and I can't and I won't give orders until the front page has been updated. I hope that'll happen soon.

I dont know or remember what you mean.......

From: Armenia & Astrakhan
To: Yalta

We will join if the UFMT does.

To think You even said you saved all the talk...
Oh well, seems like another NES with favorities... Bye, and this time for good.

To FNA:
My friend, this is a time of overwhelming change in our nation. We have tripled in size in one turn, and most of the new land is impoverished and primitive. We have to concentrate on improving ourselves internally before we look outside of our borders. We are currently neutral in your war with Phoenicia. We are sorry, but war is not an option for us at this time.

To Yalta:
We agree, on one condition. The Tblisi Pact will be independent from any other alliance (Vanguard, Rossiya-FNA Alliance, etc.) and so will not be activated by one of those alliances (IE: Phoenicia goes to war with France. The Vanguard-including Yalta-declares war on France. The Tblisi Pact is NOT required to declare war on France unless France invades Yalta directly.) If this is acceptable, then we are in. Glory to the Caucasus.

New Government of the UFMT
The UFMT is now a Parliamentary Monarchy. It consists of 3 branches of government: the Excecutive, Legislative, and Judicial. It is laid out like this:

Executive
Czar: Monarch of UFMT, but mostly holds only ceremonial power. He does have great influence in the Legislative Branch, though, and can veto some decisions on domestic policy.

General Secretary: The real ruler in UFMT. Holds the executive powers once reserved by the Czars. Must pass or veto all laws. He is the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, as well as the head of all executive agencies.

Military Secretary: The leader of the UFMT's army, navy, and eventually the air force. Has no civilian powers in government.

Security Secretary: Head of the National Police Force, as well as the various intelligence services.

Grand Priest of the Orthodox Church: The UFMT's spiritual leader, and leader of the Russian Orthodox Church. He serves as a spiritual council for government leaders.

Legislative
Grand Congress: The upper house of legislature, consisting of 5 representatives from each Republic in the Union. Charged with deciding foreign policy, military matters, international treaties, etc.

House of Commons: The lower house of the legislature. Representatives are chosen by population of their county (not Republic.) Decides domestic affairs, approves governmental appointees, etc.

Judicial
Grand Adjudicator: Head of the Judicial Branch. Presides over the Supreme Court.

Supreme Court: Highest court in the land. Decides the legality of new laws, heres high-level court cases, and tries government officials who have been impeached.

(OOC: Azale, does that count as a story? ;) )

From FNA
To Rossiya:
That is understandable. Don't worry, we won't let your neutrality affect our friendship in any way, we just wanted to know where you stand.

To FNA:
No problem, the UFMT has nothing to hide from its friends. In the future, feel free to ask us our position on a matter whenever you are unsure of which way we lean. After all, there is no friendship when there are secrets between the friends.

erez, i dont know what you mean. What favorites? Did you READ the update?

OOC: He must not have because that update is the biggest load of crap i have ever laid eyes on!

Azale Did you read my orders. I didnt invade French Africa at all. I wanted to invade French South America and Dutch South America. Please rectify this at once. This is really ****house man, twice in two turns have you screwed me over now.

sheep, ok, its fixed *fixes* French South American colony is taken

amirsan, its very simple. Your allied only to Hawaii (the greenish people in the Pacific) and theres a war going on in Africa and Europe between Phoenicia (and its allies) vs France (and its allies)

Thats basically all you need to know :p

OOC: Azale, do you know that I also have a trade route with Michquelask? (I gave them "Classical age" and for that they payed for the trade route.) Because it hasn't been mentioned in any recent updates...

ORDERS:
To be PM'd later today...

Orders:
Entire army takes up defensive positions throughout nation to provide defense from any surprise attacks.
1/2 Navy patrols outside St. Petersburg to defend against surprise attacks.

Build a large network of roads, bridges, aquaducts, and other internal transportation improvements to help repair the economy and integrate the new territories into the union.
Establish embassies in Yalta, Astrakhan, Armenia, and Mongolia.
Make sure all of the new ethnic groups who have joined the Union are happy by giving them equal rights, and economic and social aid where needed.

nooo, classical age amirsan

OOC: I noticed the same thing... my ally Denmark betrayed me anyway despite what me and Azale had agreed

February 3rd, 250 AD
Emperor Julius III Jagiello was in the Palace in Warsaw, listening to the report from the High Council. Only the reports of the High Councillors of the Internal and the Foreign Affairs were important this time.
The High Councillor of Foreign Affairs spoke first
"Sire, the Federation of the North Atlantic aka FNA wishes us to join them against the Twin Kingdoms of Eastern and Western Phoenicia and its Vanguard Alliance. What do you want to do?"
After a moment of hesitation, Emperor Julius finally spoke: "I think we should join the FNA."
Just a second after he uttered those words, the High Councillor of Internal Affairs spoke out in protest
"Sire, that is not a wise decision. The people do not want a war. They are growing increasingly radical and want a Republic. And they certainly do not want to help the FNA so soon after the country was humiliated by it. If you make the decision to join the war, especially on the pro-FNA side, then revolution will be unavoidable!"
"Which provinces support neutrality and are pro-Republican?" The King asked.
"Polish Pomerania (OOC: Gdansk and what used to be known until the end of WW2 - East Prussia), Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Karelia (the Polish area that is between Rossiyan St. Petersburg and Rossiyan Suzdal - triangle-shaped area), Moscow, Ukraine, Belarus, Crimea, Silesia, Bohemia, Slovakia, and even Warsaw itself. That's about 6/7 of the entire country. Also, the entire Crimean Provincial (aka Colonial) Army supports Republicanism, 3,700 out of our 4,200 troops are now pro-Republican, and about half of the Neo-Impeeial Guard is pro-Republican. If a revolution occurs, the Imperium will fall quickly and be replaced by a Republic almost immediately."
"I'm the Emperor! I will not be manipulated by some radicals who don't like my decisions! I will take my chances!" The Emperor rose.

February 17th, 250 AD
The Polish Revolution had been ignited by the Emperor's decision to join the great war that had engulfed Europe just a day after he made that fatal decision. He was not able to draft and send the documents and messages that made his decision official when the revolution began. With most of the armed forces supporting neutrality and having radical sentiment and therefore the revolution had immense military support and backing. Now, the revolution was even in the capital. More of the Neo-Imperial Guard had joined the Revolution, meaning that these elite defense forces no longer served nor protected the Emperor. The city of Warsaw was split evenly among the Conservative Loyalists and the Revolutionary Republicans. The Republicans had already set up Revolutionary Directorate Committees all over Poland. In Warsaw, the Revolutionary Directorate Committee was the most powerful and its forces fought the Loyalists in house-to-house fighting to get to the Imperial Palace, where Emperor Julius III and his family were cloistered.
Just at dusk, the Revolutionary forces had finally broken the Loyalist ranks and stormed the Imperial Palace. They spared the Jagiello family, but they forced Julius to surrender.
However, in the Moldovan and Krakow Provinces, Loyalists still held ground, despite the defeat of the Imperium.

February 28th. 250 AD
11 days after the capture of Emperor Julius by the Revolutionaries, the Committees set up by the republicans had been firmly established throughout the rest of Poland. In Warsaw, Julius Jagiello signed the February Constitution, formally dissolving the Polish Imperium and replacing it with the United Republic of Poland. He also signed documents that stated that neither he nor his descendants would not be allowed to take control of Poland unless chosen by the people or the new government to do so.
